Horqin town
Keerqin Town, belonging to Keerqin right-wing Front Banner of Xing'an League of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the south central part of Keerqin right-wing Front Banner. It is adjacent to yilelit town and suburban streets of Ulanhot city in the East, julihen town and hulitu Mongolian township of Taonan city in Jilin Province in the south, balagegan Township in the West and guiliuhe town across the river in the north. The area of Horqin town is 192.13 square kilometers, and by the end of 2018, the registered residence population is 22437.
In 1958, Keerqin town was under the jurisdiction of julifen commune; in 1962, dabagou commune was set up; in 1984, it was changed into dabagou township; in August 1999, dabagou township was changed into a town; in May 2006, six townships including dabagou, Baixin, Russia, historic sites, Halahai and balagegan were merged into Keerqin town. As of June 2020, Horqin town has 5 neighborhood committees and 11 village committees.
In 2017, there were 345 enterprises and 7859 employees in Horqin Town, including 7 industrial enterprises and 7 large-scale enterprises; in 2018, there were 5 industrial enterprises and 5 large-scale enterprises and 29 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in Horqin town.
Historical evolution
In 1958, it belonged to julifen commune.
In 1962, dabagou commune was set up in ejiagou village.
In 1984, it was changed into dabagou township.
In August 1999, dabagou township was transformed into a town.
In May 2006, six townships including dabagou, Baixin, Russian sports, historic sites, Halahai and balagegan were merged into Keerqin town.

Horqin town is located in the southern foot of Daxing'an Mountains, with high terrain in the South and low terrain in the north. The terrain is shallow hills. The main mountains are dabaling, Aobao mountain and hatusagana mountain. The highest peak in the town is located in dabaling, Dagou village, with an altitude of 566 meters. The lowest point is located in shuangfa village in front of Yuanfeng village, with an altitude of 401 meters.

The river course in Horqin town belongs to Liao River Basin of Songhua River; Guiliu River, the largest river in Horqin Town, flows through the whole territory from north to south, with a total length of 21 kilometers and a drainage area of 105 square kilometers; liushuchuan River, the secondary river course, flows through the whole territory from west to East, with a total length of 19 kilometers and a drainage area of 66.5 square kilometers.
