Guantunpu Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Fengzhen City, Wulanchabu City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the southeast of Fengzhen City, bordering Changcheng Township, Yanggao County, Datong City, Shanxi Province in the East, North District of Datong City, Shanxi Province in the south, street of Nancheng District in the West, and heitutai town in the north, with an administrative area of 301.96 square kilometers.
In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to the Northwest Township of fengzhenting; in the Republic of China, it belonged to the third district of Fengzhen County; in June 1984, guantunpu commune was changed into a township; in March 2006, heigetawa township was merged. By the end of 2018, the population of registered residence in official Tunpu township was 28285. As of June 2020, guantunpu has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages.
In 2011, the per capita net income of farmers in guantunpu township was 5238 yuan. In 2018, guantunpu Township had 4 industrial enterprises and 32 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to the Northwest Township of fengzhenting.
During the period of the Republic of China, it was the third district of Fengzhen county.
In January 1946, it belonged to the Fifth District of Fengzhen liberated area.
After the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belongs to five districts of Fengzhen county.
In August 1952, it was divided into three districts.
In April 1958, guantunpu township was set up, and in September of the same year, guantunpu commune was established.
In June 1984, guantunpu commune was transformed into a township.
In March 2006, heigetawa township was merged into the city.
