Lingkou Town, formerly known as sanjiapo, is located at the foot of murui mountain, the southernmost tip of Ding'an County, Hainan Province. Historical evolution
According to the annals of Ding'an County, the old name of Lingkou city (market) was sanjiapo, which was set up in lei'ertu at that time. In the first year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1663 AD), it was built with land donated by Mo, Zhang and long families, and then moved to the current site. Lingkou city (market) is a semi hilly area, surrounded by mountains, there are three fjords in and out, shaped like "Ding", so it is called Lingkou. Lingkou town was under the jurisdiction of Nanlei Yitu in Zhongxiang in Qing Dynasty.
Lingkou township was established in the period of the Republic of China, which was subordinate to dingliu district. The people's Government of Lingkou township was established in May 1950, the district system was implemented in 1951, which was under the jurisdiction of the four districts, and the reform committee of Lingkou commune was established in July 1957. In September 1980, the Management Committee of the commune was restored, and in September 1983, the Lingkou District Office of the government was established.
