Yuelai town

Yuelai Township belongs to Shizhong District of Leshan City, Sichuan Province. It is located in the north of Shizhong District of Leshan City, 18 kilometers away from the central urban area of Leshan City. It faces Guanmiao Township across the river in the East, Mianzhu town in the south, Jiajiang County in the West and Qingshen County in the north. Yueqing road runs through the whole area, and pingqiang Xiaoshan gorge is embedded in the East. It has jurisdiction over 9 administrative villages and 76 economic societies with a population of 9106 (2017).

The township covers an area of 7100 mu of arable land, 29000 mu of mountain forest, and 0.4 square kilometers of urban area. There are 5 primary and secondary schools, public institutions such as health centers, credit cooperatives, agricultural machinery stations, grain stations, animal defense stations, and industrial enterprises such as organic brick factories, paper mills, prefabrication plants, and wood processing plants in the township. The urban infrastructure function is perfect. It is the junction area of Shizhong District, Qingshen County, and Jiajiang County Economic center.

On February 19, 2021, it was selected into the list of "advanced villages and towns for Rural Revitalization in Sichuan Province in 2020".

On December 13, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Leshan City to adjust the administrative divisions of 8 counties (cities, districts) including Shizhong District (cfzm [2019] No. 20): Yuelai township was abolished and Yuelai town was established. The original administrative region of Yuelai township was the administrative region of Yuelai Town, and the people's Government of Yuelai town was stationed at 181 Yuelai street.

We have completed 3.1km village road hardening, 800m2 Street hardening, 300m street greening, 9 new garbage pools in the town, invested more than 100000 yuan to complete the water plant technical transformation project, strengthened the pingqiang small gorge tourism development project, and expanded the tourism industry.
