Erdong town
Erdong Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Xinghe County, Wulanchabu City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the west of Xinghe County. It is adjacent to national unity Township and Chengguan town in the East, Zhanggao town in the south, wulaha Wula Township and longshengzhuang town in Fengzhen City in the west, and national unity Township in the north, with an administrative area of 449.7 square kilometers.
During the Han Dynasty, it was occupied by Xiongnu and Xianbei. In January 1950, the former sanruili was transferred to Xinghe County. In July 2001, eboping and mudongaila Township were merged into Erdong township. In March 2006, Erdong township was changed into a town, and 11 villagers' committees of Ertaizi town were merged into Erdong township. By the end of 2018, the population of Erdong town registered residence was 32170. As of June 2020, Erdong town has 1 community and 21 administrative villages.

History of construction
In Han Dynasty, it was occupied by Xiongnu and Xianbei.
In the Northern Wei Dynasty, it belonged to rouxuan town.
In Jin and Liao dynasties, it belonged to Weining County, Xijing road.
During the Yuan Dynasty, it belonged to Weining County, Xinghe Road, Zhongshu province.
In Ming Dynasty, it belonged to Xinghe garrison.
In the Qing Dynasty, it was the nomadic place of Chahar zhenghuang banner and Zhenghong banner.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), the former eboping and Ertaizi were assigned to Xinghe County, the former sanruili to Fengzhen County, and the yuanmudong Aila to zhenghuang banner.
In January 1950, the former sanruili was assigned to Xinghe County.
In June 1953, the township of eboping and sanruili were set up.
In 1958, the two townships were merged into Qingrui commune.
In January 1962, the commune of eboping and sanruili was established.
In March 1974, Mudong Aila commune of Chahar Right Wing Front Banner was transferred to Xinghe County.
In May 1984, the communes of eboping and sanruili were transformed into townships.
In July 2001, eboping and mudongaila Township were merged into Erdong township.
In March 2006, Erdong township was transformed into a town, and the 11 villagers' committees of Ertaizi town were incorporated.
