It was built in 1917.
In 1918, it belonged to Nanxiang of Boli County.
In the ninth year of the Republic of China (1920), it belonged to the third class of 8.
In 1941, it was assigned to Bajiazi village.
In November 1945, it was divided into the fourth district and stationed in Qinglong mountain.
In 1951, it was classified as district 10.
In 1956, Qingshan township was established.
In 1958, the township changed into a commune.
In 1983, the commune was transformed into a township.
