Dakulun Township
Dakulun Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Shangdu County, Wulanchabu City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the north of Shangdu County, connecting Maodu Township in the East, tunkendui town in the south, Xijingzi town in the West and xinbaolige town in Xianghuang Banner, Xilin Gol League in the north, with an administrative area of 524.82 square kilometers.
In 1949, it belonged to the Fifth District of Shangdu County; in 1961, it set up dakulun commune; in 1984, it changed into a township; in 2001, zhangmaobisu township was merged into dakulun township. By the end of 2018, the population of registered residence in Kulun was 24319. As of June 2020, dakulun township has jurisdiction over 19 administrative villages.
In 2011, the per capita net income of farmers in dakulun township was 2500 yuan. In 2018, there were 2 industrial enterprises and 6 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in dakulun township.
History of construction
In 1949, it was the Fifth District of Shangdu county.
In 1956, dakulun township was established.
In 1958, it belonged to Qingshan commune.
In 1961, the great Kulun commune was established.
In 1984, the great Kulun commune was transformed into a township.
In 2001, zhangmaowusu township was merged into dakulun township.

At the end of 2011, dakulun Township had 19 administrative villages under its jurisdiction: dakulun, shierqing, sanshengli, dajingzi, Yongjin, Pingdiquan, bagudi, Guchengzi, Huajia Village, ergudi, kuluntu, Xinli village, zhangmaobusu, taipingbao, Nangou, saishusan Lama, guopeng, Yibu, and 74 villager groups.
As of June 2020, dakulun township has 19 administrative villages: dakulun village, shierqing village, sanshuo village, dajingzi village, Pingdiquan village, Yongjin village, ergudi village, Huajia Village, Guchengzi village, bagudi village, Xinli village, kuluntu village, zhangmaobisu village, xiyingzi village, yibushu village, sanlama village, saishui village, nangouzi village and guopeng village. The Township People's government is stationed in Big Kulun village.

Dakulun township is located in the shallow hills, the terrain is high in the South and low in the north. The terrain is divided into shallow mountain area and hilly area. The main mountains are heigeda mountain, Tongding mountain, Jiazi mountain, saishui mountain and naonaobao mountain. Naobao mountain, the highest peak in the territory, is located in the northwest of dakulun Township, with an altitude of 1552 meters.

The river course in dakulun Township belongs to tonggulu river system. The largest river in the territory is tonggulu River, which flows from southwest to northeast. It flows through ergudi, Huajia Village, Guchengzi, bagudi, kuluntu and Xinli village, with a length of 28 km. The main tributaries are dakulun River, Qingshui River and Yujiagou river.

There are fluorite, limonite, hematite and other underground mineral deposits in dakulun township. The developed fluorite mine is located in the south of zhangmaowusu village, with an area of 1 square kilometer and an annual output of 600 tons.

History and culture
Dakulun township is named after the people's government's residence in Kulun village. In 1939, the village and seven surrounding natural villages built walls together for protection, so it was named dakulun village.
