New Gongzhong town
Xingongzhong Town, subordinate to Wuyuan County, Bayannaoer City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the west of Wuyuan County, bordering longxingchang town in the East, bayantaohai town in the south, Tahu town in the west, and Wujiahe town of Wulate Middle Banner across the river. It covers an area of 301.94 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in new town was 32431.
In 1953, it was changed into Yongli Township, shibagetu Township, Chengxi Township and Tuanjie Township. In 1984, she Gai Township belonged to Yongli, shibagetu, Shahe and Xiangyang. In 2005, six villages of Guangming, Guanglian, Chuangye, Fenglian, Liansheng and Yongfeng in Shiba Township and one village of Tuanjie in Xiangyang Township were assigned to xingongzhong town. As of June 2020, xingongzhong town has jurisdiction over 15 administrative villages, and the people's Government of the town is stationed in group 1, Yongwang village.
In 2018, there were 9 industrial enterprises and 69 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in xingongzhong town.
Historical evolution
Before liberation, it belonged to two districts: Shengwu Township and Heyue Township, and one district: Zhongchen Township and huangheyuan township.
After liberation, it belonged to Minli, Yongwang, chenwangjundan, hanyoufang, sancun5 administrative village and Baiyin DaoHai township.
In 1953, it was changed into Yongli Township, shibagetu Township, Chengxi Township and Tuanjie Township.
In March 1958, small townships were merged with large townships, and they were divided into four communes: Yongli, shibagetu, Shahe and Baiyin DaoHai.
In 1984, she Gai Township belonged to Yongli, shibagetu, Shahe and Xiangyang.
In April 2001, the township was transformed into a town, and the original Yonglian, Minli, Yongwang, Guangsheng and Yongsheng villages of Yongli Township and the original Yongsheng, Xuri and Yonglian villages of Shahe Township were merged into the new Gongzhong town.
In 2005, six villages of Guangming, Guanglian, Chuangye, Fenglian, Liansheng and Yongfeng in Shiba Township and one village of Tuanjie in Xiangyang Township were assigned to xingongzhong town.

The main rivers are two secondary rivers, Zaohuo and Shahe, with a total length of 28 km; one tertiary River, with a total length of 16 km; and seven tertiary rivers, with a total length of 65 km. The total length of the river is 109km, the river network density is 0.37km/km2, the annual runoff is 242 million cubic meters, the annual drainage volume is 48 million cubic meters, and the annual maximum drainage volume is 73 million cubic meters. Zaohuo canal is the largest river in the territory. From southwest to northeast, it flows through 6 villages of Yonglian, Yongwang, Yongsheng, heshao, Guangming and Guanglian, with a length of 18 kilometers, a drainage area of 210 square kilometers and a total annual runoff of 110 million cubic meters.
