Zhalantun forestry bureau is a local forestry bureau, which undertakes the ecological construction, resource protection, forest and grassland fire prevention, forest industry development and people's livelihood construction of the whole city.

Introduction to the Bureau

The total area of Zhalantun city is 1694826 hectares, the forest area is 1187080 hectares, the wetland area is 48533.4 hectares, and the forest coverage rate is 70.04%. The operating area of the municipal forestry bureau is 867988 hectares, including 580108 hectares of forestry land and 287880 hectares of non forestry land. Among the forest land, there are 480722 hectares of forest land, the municipal forest coverage rate is 55.38%, the amount of forest land is 66.83%, the total volume of forest standing trees is 21.8011 million cubic meters, and the cultivated land area in the forest area is 13.93 million mu. The main wild tree species are Quercus mongolica, Larix gmelinii, Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica, spruce, elm, poplar, willow, Betula platyphylla, Betula nigra, Populus davidiana, oak, etc. There are more than 700 kinds of wild economic plants and more than 200 kinds of wild animals in the territory, including 7 kinds of national first-class protected animals and 47 kinds of national second-class protected animals. The total area of wetland is 48533.4 hectares. The benefit compensation area of national key public welfare forest is 2.1726 million mu, and that of local public welfare forest is 607000 mu.

Organization

The Bureau has 11 administrative offices, including Party committee office, administrative office, trade union, personnel and labor share, finance share, audit share, Industry Office (state-owned forest farm management station), forest administration share, resource share, forest reform office and ecological office, forestry workstation, forest investigation team, forest seedling station, forest pest control and quarantine station, forest protection station (sericulture station), forestry industry management station and public welfare forest The management and protection center consists of 7 public institutions at the share level, 1 unit at the sub section level under the jurisdiction of the Forest Public Security Bureau, and works with the forest and grassland fire prevention Office of Zhalantun city. There are 14 Township Forestry workstations. It has jurisdiction over eight state-owned forest farms, namely Miaoershan, Jiqin River, genduo River, iqihan, Xinlitun, haduo River, Genghis Khan (nursery) and yangshugou.
