Wuerqihan town
Wuerqihan Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Yakeshi City, Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is the resident of Wuerqihan Forestry Bureau, a large state-owned second grade forest industry enterprise. It is located in the northeast of Yakeshi City, adjacent to NOMIN town of Olunchun Autonomous Banner in the East, Mianduhe town in the South, Dongxing Street in the west, and Kuduer town in the north, with an administrative area of 3848 square kilometers.
In January 1950, it belonged to xiguitu banner (now Yakeshi city); in October of the same year, it set up Yalin floss area, later known as Yalin nutuk; in October 1957, nutuk was changed to Yalin town; in August 1958, Yalin town was renamed Wuerqihan town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in urchin township was 36205. As of June 2020, Wuerqihan town has four communities and one administrative village.
In 2011, the financial revenue of Wuerqihan town was 9.84 million yuan. The per capita income of farmers is 7900 yuan. In 2018, there were 12 industrial enterprises in Wuerqihan Town, including one above scale and 62 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In 1905, after the Binzhou railway was opened to traffic, Russian Warren coff set up a timber cutting company in Yakeshi. In order to cut the forest in the forest area, he built a 70 kilometer railway from Yakeshi to the hinterland of the forest area to urqihan, which was also called "Seventy" and "Xiudi" at that time.
In January 1950, it belonged to Xigui Tu banner (now Yakeshi city); in October of the same year, it set up Yalin floss area, later known as Yalin nutuk.
In November 1951, the administrative area of chenbalhu banner on the West Bank of Kuduer River and the North Bank of Hailar River was incorporated into the administrative area of Xigui Tu banner.
In October 1957, Yalin town was set up in nutuk, and Kuduer town was set up in the northern part of nutuk.
In August 1958, Yalin town was renamed Wuerqihan town.
In August 1969, Suixi guitu banner was transferred to Heilongjiang Province.
In July 1979, Suixi guitu banner returned to Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
On September 27, 1984, a coal town was set up in the southwest of the jurisdiction.
In June 2006, the town of coalfield was withdrawn and the area returned to its jurisdiction.

The main vein of Daxinganling in Wuerqihan town runs through the territory from northeast to southwest. The terrain of Lingnan inclines from northwest to Southeast, and the terrain of Lingbei inclines from east to southwest. The terrain is dominated by medium and low mountains, with an altitude of 500-1406m. Guliya mountain, the highest peak, is located in xinganli forest farm, 1406 meters above sea level.

hydrology
The river course in Wuerqihan town belongs to Erguna basin. Kuduer river is the largest tributary in the upper reaches of Hailaer River, with a length of 24.5 km and a drainage area of 1456 square kilometers. Dayan river is the source of Hailaer River, with a length of 46 km and a drainage area of 2028 square kilometers. It flows into Hailaer River after joining Kuduer river at the intersection of 33 and 27 linban in Wuerqihan forest farm. The river is 20-50m wide, 1-3m deep and 0.7-1.5m/s average velocity.
natural disaster
The main natural disasters in Wuerqihan town are flood, fire, gale, dry early, hail, frost and so on. The most serious rainstorm disaster occurred in June 1988, which caused Dayan River, Beida River and damoguai River to flow out of the trough one after another, inundating coalfield forest farm, May 9th management office and wenkutu forest farm, and destroying many timber transportation roads and bridges. In August, a series of torrential rains caused a sharp rise in the Kuduer River and Dayan river. On August 9, the flood peak of Kuduer river was more than 1.5 meters high, and the peak flow reached 808 cubic meters per second. The 5.1 kilometer flood dike was submerged, and the flood discharged along the dike. 2554 houses in the dike were flooded, including 214 houses collapsed, 593 houses were tilted and deformed, and 1747 households were affected. The economic loss was equivalent to 13.46 million yuan. The most serious fire occurred on May 5, 2006. Mianduhe fire entered Xiri Teqi forest farm, covering an area of 210 square kilometers.
