Ulan taorgai Town, belonging to the the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Erdos City, is located in the Middle East of the Shaanxi, and is located in the east of Yulin City, Yuyang, Ma He town. It is located in the South and west of galU Town, north to the town of Wu Xin and Tucker, with an area of 1389 square kilometers. Up to 2018, the registered residence population was 8848.

From 1950 to 1956, it was under the jurisdiction of the Fifth District of the banner. In 1956, wulantaolegaimu was established. In 2000, Sumu was transformed into a town. In 2005, huangtaolegai township was merged into Wulan taolegai town. As of June 2020, Ulan Tolgoi town has one community and seven administrative villages.
