Tianjin Haihe Education Park

Haihe Education Park is located on the South Bank of the middle reaches of Haihe River between Tianjin downtown and Binhai New Area, with Tianjin Avenue in the north, Jingang highway and Jinjin Expressway in the south, Jishan expressway connecting line in the West and xianshuigu West outer ring in the East. It covers a total area of 37 square kilometers, with a planned school running scale of 200000 people, a resident population of 100000 people and an annual social training of 300000 people.

Vigorously developing higher education and vocational education is an urgent need to promote the sound and rapid development of economy and society. The planning and construction of Tianjin Haihe Education Park in the middle reaches of Haihe River is of great significance for promoting the development of higher education and vocational education in Tianjin, integrating the city's education resources, supporting the development of the middle reaches of Haihe River, and enhancing the comprehensive competitiveness. According to the unified deployment of Tianjin municipal Party committee and Tianjin municipal government, the Municipal Planning Bureau has organized the preparation of the overall planning, urban design and detailed campus design of Haihe Education Park since September 2008. In 10 months, after many times of investigation and more than 20 rounds of scheme deepening, we have completed the preparation of various planning and design works, which has been affirmed by experts. By 2020, more than 30 academicians from Tianjin University, Nankai University, Sino German University of Applied Technology and Tianjin Open University have settled in 13 universities. Among the 10 Vocational Colleges in the park, 7 are national model schools (backbone schools) and 3 are municipal model schools

Overview of the park

Tianjin Haihe Education Park is a national experimental area of higher vocational education reform, a higher education demonstration area directly under the Ministry of education, and a Tianjin Science and technology research and innovation demonstration area. The planning site is located in Jinnan District on the South Bank of the middle reaches of Haihe River, adjacent to xianshuigu, Balitai, Shuanggang and Dashi. The land covers the West outer ring of xianshuigu in the East, Jishan connecting line in the west, Jingang highway and Jinjin Expressway in the South and Tianjin Avenue in the north. The total planned land area is 37 square kilometers, with a planned school running scale of 200000 and a resident population of 100000. In the planning area, the current vegetation is luxuriant and the river system is all over the area. After planning, a beautiful and pleasant ecological environment can be created.

The Education Park as a whole forms a layout structure of "one corridor and two wings". "One corridor" refers to the central ecological green corridor combined with urban ecological corridor planning, and "two wings" refers to the colleges, residential and supporting facilities construction areas on both sides of the green corridor. According to different planning functions, the education park is divided into three parts: Higher Vocational Park, higher education park and higher research park.

In the higher vocational Park, there are four vocational college land in the east wing, three vocational college land and four reserved college land in the west wing, and management center and Sports Center in the central ecological green corridor. The park management center, public library and cultural exchange center are set up in the management center. The sports center is equipped with stadium, natatorium, gymnasium, public training center (national vocational skills competition Center) and commercial entertainment center.

In the higher education park, the construction land of Nankai University and one reserved land for colleges and universities are arranged in the east wing, and the construction land of Tianjin University and one reserved land for colleges and universities are arranged in the west wing. A service center will be set up between the two schools to build a scholar village, student activity center and commercial district for the two schools. The development reserve for education, scientific research and residence is mainly arranged in the park. Through planning and design, it will become an educational park with pleasant environment, perfect functions and first-class quality.

Tianjin Haihe Education Park will first start the construction of Higher Vocational park. Seven vocational colleges will be built in the starting area, including five vocational colleges and two secondary vocational schools, forming a "5 + 2" pattern. The five vocational colleges are Sino German Vocational and technical college, electronic information vocational and technical college, modern vocational and technical college, light industry vocational and technical college and maritime vocational college. The two secondary vocational schools are instrument radio Industrial school and Tianjin mechanical and electrical technology college.

In November 2015, through the integration of educational resources of Tianjin Haihe Education Park library, the Ministry of education agreed to establish Tianjin Sino German University of Applied Technology on the basis of Tianjin Sino German Vocational and technical college.

Three higher vocational colleges in phase II of the park have been settled in September 2014, including Tianjin business vocational college, Tianjin Youth Vocational College and Tianjin Electromechanical vocational and technical college; the new campuses of Nankai University and Tianjin University are expected to be relocated in 2016.

All the campuses face the central ecological green corridor and set up ceremonial entrances and exits (mainly for pedestrians), which form the main axis of the campus. The main building of the school is arranged on the axis to form a visual view and show the image and characteristics of the school. The campus ring road is set up in the campus to solve the motor vehicle traffic, so that the campus core area can realize the pure walking environment, and ensure the safe travel of students. The campus is surrounded by greening and landscape water to highlight the ecological characteristics and create a beautiful campus environment. According to the design concept of "garden scenery, atmosphere, steadiness and simplicity, rich connotation", the seven schools will show Tianjin's regional culture, era characteristics and city image through careful and rigorous design.

Haihe Education Park is located in the South Bank of the middle reaches of Haihe River, the core area between Tianjin Central City and Binhai New Area. The construction of Haihe Education Park is a major measure to implement the agreement between the Ministry of education and Tianjin on jointly building a national vocational education reform and Innovation Demonstration Zone, implement the overall development plan of Tianjin, and promote the strategy of invigorating the city through science and education and strengthening the city through talents. It will focus on cultivating a large number of high-quality innovative talents and skilled talents, so as to build a high-end, high-quality and high-tech industrial structure, accelerate the development and opening up of Binhai New Area Better serve the economic development of Tianjin and the central and western regions of China, and provide strong scientific and technological support and human resource guarantee.

Haihe education park overall planning "one corridor two wings" spatial structure. A central ecological green corridor runs through the park from north to south, with a cultural center and a public sports center; vocational colleges and residential and supporting facilities are built on the two wings. The park is divided into three phases. The first phase is planned to cover an area of 10 square kilometers, and the construction will start at the end of June 2009, with 116 single buildings and 1.33 million square meters completed in only one and a half years; the first batch of 7 universities, including Sino German University of applied technology, College of electronic information technology, maritime vocational college, modern vocational and technical college, light industry vocational and technical college, instrument and wireless electrical industry school, and mechanical and electrical industry school Vocational colleges which have been integrated with resources have been settled in March 2011. The second phase plans to build Nankai University, the new campus of Tianjin University, three higher vocational colleges, Tianjin Radio and Television University, and the Party School of the municipal Party committee, as well as the headquarters economic zone and the transformation zone of scientific research projects. In the future, the third phase will be planned and constructed, eventually forming an overall pattern of 200000 school running scale, 300000 social training person times and 100000 residential population.

Haihe Education Park will be a demonstration park of national vocational education reform and innovation.

We should integrate and optimize the allocation of vocational education resources, implement mutual employment of teachers, mutual selection of courses, mutual recognition of credits, and resource sharing among vocational colleges, so as to realize centralized and intensive school running to the maximum extent.
