Anqing town, belonging to Songshan District, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the east of Songshan District, on the North Bank of the middle reaches of Yingjin River, adjacent to taipingdi town in the East, Fengshuigou town in Yuanbaoshan District in the south, Xiajiadian Township in the West and jiefangyingzi Township in Wengniute banner in the north. The area is 291.26 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, 31448 people registered residence.
In 1956, anqinggou township was built after the district was withdrawn. In April 1958, anqinggou township was established. In January 1959, it belonged to Chifeng City; in May of the same year, anqinggou township was transformed into a commune. In May 1960, anqinggou commune was transformed into a township. On May 15, 1998, anqinggou township was transformed into a town. As of June 2020, Anqing town has 13 administrative villages.
