Luodian town
Luodian Town, belonging to Baoshan District, Shanghai, China, is located in the northwest of Baoshan District, Shanghai. It is adjacent to Gucun town in the south, Baosteel and Yuepu in the East, Jiading District in the west, Baoshan Industrial Park and Luojing town in the north. It covers an area of 44.19 square kilometers and has a permanent population of 159404 (2017).
Luodian town is located in the subtropical zone, adjacent to the East China Sea, a monsoon subtropical marine climate, mild and humid, four distinct seasons. Luodian town has 21 administrative villages and 35 neighborhood committees with a planned population of about 254000. In 2014, the added value of Luodian town was 6064.2 million yuan, an increase of 1.2% over 2013.
On December 7, 2016, Luodian town was listed as the third batch of national new urbanization comprehensive pilot areas. On January 9, 2019, Luodian dragon boat was selected into the list of "hometown of Chinese folk culture and art" from 2018 to 2020. In January 2019, it will be selected as the seventh batch of famous historical and cultural towns in China.
Historical evolution
The former part of the Southern Song Dynasty belonged to the eastern part of Kunshan County under the jurisdiction of Suzhou, the east of Jiangnan. In 1217, Jiading County was separated from Kunshan county and belonged to Jiading County. From 1341 to 1368, Luodian became a market town in the Yuan Dynasty, and gradually became a big town in the late Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty. Kangxi nine years (1670) flood, the next year set up porridge factory relief, Luodian set up Luodian factory. Later, the factory became an administrative organ, belonging to Jiading County, Suzhou Prefecture, Jiangsu Province. In 1724, Baoshan county was separated from Jiading County and changed to Baoshan County, which was subordinate to Taicang Prefecture of Jiangsu Province. In 1910, local autonomy was organized, and Luodian factory was renamed Luodian City, which was still under the jurisdiction of Baoshan county. County subordinate to Jiangsu Province Susong Taidao Taicang state.
In 1912, Luodian city was under the jurisdiction of Baoshan county. The county is subordinate to Jiangsu Province. In the third year of the Republic of China, it belonged to huhaidao, Jiangsu Province. In the 18th year of the Republic of China, the county implemented the district township system. The county was divided into five districts, and Luodian was the Fourth District of Baoshan county. In 1937, the Japanese invaded China and Luodian was occupied. The Wang puppet regime was changed from county to district. Luodian town was subordinate to Baoshan District of Shanghai special city, and the town was in charge of the township. In 1939, Baoshan District was divided into four districts, and Luodian was the fourth. In the 29th year of the Republic of China, the old system was restored, and Luodian town was located in Baoshan District. In April of the Republic of China, Baoshan District was changed into Baoshan special district, with a sub district under it. Luodian town was subordinate to the third sub district. In 1944, Baoshan District was renamed Baoshan County, and Luodian town belonged to it. In September 1945, after the victory of the Anti Japanese War, Baoshan county was under the jurisdiction of Jiangsu Province. The county was divided into six districts. Luodian District governed 12 townships of L Town, and Luodian town was under the jurisdiction of Luodian District, Baoshan County, Jiangsu Province. In the 35th year of the Republic of China, the administrative region of the county was merged into 19 townships. Luodian town and all townships were directly under Baoshan county. In 1949, Baoshan county was divided into two supervision districts, and Luodian town was subordinate to the first supervision district.
In May 1949, Baoshan county was liberated and under the jurisdiction of Songjiang District of Southern Jiangsu administrative office. In July, Luodian District People's government was established, Luodian town was under the leadership of Luodian District, and Luodian Town People's government was established. In February 1951, Luodian town was approved as a town directly under the county by the southern Jiangsu administrative office. In September 1958, Yuejin people's commune was established, and Luodian town became a management community of Yuejin people's commune. It is under the jurisdiction of Yuejin people's commune, Baoshan County, Shanghai. In October 1959, Luodian people's commune was set up (the commune adjusted its scale and Yuejin people's commune disintegrated), and Luodian town was subordinate to it. In 1961, Luodian town was restored as a town directly under Baoshan county. In 1984, the government and the commune were set up separately, and the commune was changed into an economic management organization, and Luodian township was established. In 1988, the original Baoshan county and Wusong District removed two to build one, and Baoshan District was established. Luodian town was subordinate to Baoshan District. Luodian town and Luodian Township were merged to establish a new Luodian town. In 2000, Luodian town and Luonan town were merged into one town, which is still Baoshan District.

On May 26, 1949, Baoshan county was liberated. After taking over, Lianxiang office was set up. In July, the grass-roots political power organs of the district and township were established. It is divided into five districts. Luodian District governs Luodian Town, Luonan Township, Luojing Township, Juyuan Township and Xiping township. In October, the township division was adjusted, the Baojia system was abolished, and the rural political power was established. Luodian District governs 1 town, 8 townships, 21 street, 74 village. Luodian town (21st Street), Luonan township (8 villages), Luojing township (12 villages), Luoxi township (9 villages), Luoping township (8 villages), Zhangqiao township (12 villages), Yangqiao township (7 villages), Juyuan township (9 villages), Xiaojing township (9 villages). The next year, the District People's government was changed into a district office, and the jurisdiction of Luodian District Office remained unchanged.
Approved by the southern Jiangsu administrative office in February 1951, Luodian town is directly under the jurisdiction of 21 administrative streets: tingqian street, tingqian East Street, tingqian West Street, Tangdong street, Tangxi street, nannannong street, beinannong street, dongxixiang street, Hengjie street, Shihe street, Xinqiao street, Miaohou street, jiangjiaxiang street, Hanjiawan street, North Street, Hutai street, Zhaoxiang East Street, Zhaoxiang middle street Street, Zhaoxiang West Street, jurisdiction is limited to blocks.
In September 1953, with the approval of Southern Jiangsu administrative office, Jiejing village in HeQiao township of Jiading County was transferred to Luodian district. There are eight resident groups in Jiejing village. Luodian town abolished the administrative street system, and divided 2L streets into five resident groups. Its jurisdiction has been expanded.
In October 1954, with the approval of Songjiang Commissioner's office, Juyuan township was abolished and merged into Luoping and Zhangqiao townships respectively. At this time, Luodian area has Luodian Town, Luoping Township, Zhangqiao Township, Luonan Township, Luojing Township, Yangqiao Township, Chenxing Township, Luoxi Township, etc. In August of the same year, Renmin village in Zhangqiao Township and Wugong village in Luoping Township were under the jurisdiction of Luodian town. The jurisdiction has been expanded.
From 1957 to September 1958, the county decided to withdraw the district and merge the township. Zhangqiao Township and Luoping Township were merged into Luodian Town, under the jurisdiction of 16 agricultural production cooperatives. Yangqiao Township and Chenxing Township, which originally belonged to Luodian area, were merged into Luojing Township and Luoxi township. The town's five resident groups were merged into the Luodian Town Lane Committee.
On January 17, 1958, with the approval of the State Council, Baoshan County in Jiangsu Province was under the jurisdiction of Shanghai. Luodian town directly under the jurisdiction of 16 senior social organizations and Luodian Town Lane Committee, with a total area of 22.10 square kilometers.
In September 1958, the people's commune was transformed into a people's commune with the integration of government and society and the integration of industry, agriculture, commerce, and military training. Luodian district was composed of Luodian Town, Luojing Township and most of Yuepu township. Yuejin people's commune was established, and Luodian town became a management area under the people's commune.
In September 1959, the scale of the people's commune was adjusted and Luodian commune was established. Under the jurisdiction of a town 14 production brigade.
Luodian town was restored to be a town directly under the county in December 1961, but its jurisdiction was reduced. The original Jinxing, Zhennan and dongnannong groups were assigned to Luodian people's commune, and only led the neighborhood of Lilong Committee. Luodian people's commune has 14 production teams.
In 1961, Qinfeng production brigade was transferred to Yuepu people's commune. It has 13 production brigades, 1 directly affiliated field, 131 production teams and 259 natural villages. In 1978, these natural villages were relocated into 38 new residential villages according to the plan, and all of them were completed in 1985. The 13 production brigades are: Tianping, Guangming, Mingmin, Yipin, shuliqiao, Dongnan lane, wangjialou, maojianong, Jinxing, and hehe During the period from June 1976 to November 1979, the commune tried out a two-level accounting system in Jinxing production team, in which the South production team of the rich team supported the North production team of the poor team, and the accounting unit of the production team was cancelled.

In April 1984, Luodian township was established as an economic management organization. The 13 production teams were reorganized into 13 villagers' committees. Luodian village has 13 villagers' committees and 132 villagers' groups. Luodian town has two neighborhood committees, East and West. Later in 1985, the two neighborhood committees were renamed Xiangyang and Tangdong.
By July 1988, Zhendong residents committee was established (separated from Tangdong residents committee) and Xinqiao residents committee was established (separated from Xiangyang residents committee). All the above four residents committees were under the jurisdiction of Luodian town.
On June 16, 1988, Shanghai municipal Party committee, Shanghai Municipal People's Congress and Shanghai municipal government announced the approval of the State Council to abolish Baoshan county and Wusong district and establish Baoshan District; the next year, Luodian town and Luodian Township were abolished and a new Luodian town was established. The new Luodian town has jurisdiction over 13 village committees, 4 neighborhood committees (the transportation brigade under the original jurisdiction of the township has been integrated into the residential area) and 1 fishing brigade, with a total area of 24 square kilometers.
In 2000, the administrative division of Luodian town remained the same, but the order of withdrawing Luodian town and Luonan town and establishing Xinluodian town has been received. The total area of Xinluodian town is 50.28 square kilometers, and its block is 4 square kilometers.
