Geography

The place name of mahaokou began in the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty. At that time, there was only one woman named Mao Sanpo who drove to the ferry, which was called Mao Sanpo ferry. Later, a fisherman surnamed Cao named Shi Mahao at the ferry. Because of fishing, it became famous here, and was renamed Mao Sanpo ferry, which was later written as mahaokou.
