Maqiao town

Maqiao town belongs to Minhang District of Shanghai. It is located in the southwest of Shanghai and on the North Bank of the upper reaches of Huangpu River, with a total area of 33.63 square kilometers. It governs 10 administrative villages, 18 residents' committees (preparatory groups) and a population of 113929 (2017). The town's economy and society have made great progress. In 1990 and 1995, it won the title of "the best Township in China" twice and the "earth cup" representing the highest honor of the township in China. Here, there are 140 industrial enterprises, 10 group companies, 56 foreign-funded enterprises, and modern horticultural farms representing urban agriculture. It is a pilot town for small town construction of the Ministry of construction of the people's Republic of China. It is one of the top 100 towns for afforestation in China. It has also been rated as a model town for "double support" in Shanghai three times in a row. Here, there are also complete cultural and sports facilities: golf course, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, warm water swimming pool, bowling alley, stadium, as well as schools and hospitals with good facilities.

Brief introduction to Maqiao

Maqiao town is the seat of Maqiao township government. Located at the confluence of Shagang and Yutang, Beisong road in the north and Yutang River in the south. There are four stone bridges in the old town, which are distributed in the shape of horses, so they are called Maqiao. The total cultivated land area of the town is 9652 mu, including 2947 mu of forest land, 3100 mu of rice planting area, 300 mu of vegetable planting area, 200 mu of flowers, and 3105 mu of other collective land (including the land that has been collected and stored but not expropriated), which is designated as 4281 mu of permanent basic farmland.

It is adjacent to Zhugang River in the East, Zhuanqiao town in the north of Jianchuan road and Jiangchuan road street in the south, Songjiang District in the west, Fengxian District across Huangpu River in the South and Xinzhuang Industrial District and Songjiang District in the north. It is 24 kilometers away from the city center and 18 kilometers away from Shanghai Hongqiao Airport, with superior geographical location and convenient transportation. The resident population was 113929 (2017).

In recent years, the industry of Maqiao town insists on developing from small scattered type to large-scale group type. In 2004, there are 160 industrial enterprises in the town, including more than 63 foreign-invested enterprises, and the contracted foreign investment is more than 400 million US dollars. Cosmetics, copper processing, plastic color printing and packaging, electrical cable power supply equipment and medicine have become the main products and large-scale production base of the town's industry.

In terms of industrial layout, Maqiao town actively guides the concentration of industrial projects to Maqiao industrial concentration point, and relies on the imported projects to drive the construction of infrastructure such as roads and sewage pipes in the concentration point. Maqiao horticultural farm has become a modern agricultural production base with large scale, advanced facilities and high scientific and technological content in China. At the same time, in order to speed up the withdrawal of traditional agriculture, reduce the grain planting area, increase the planting area of seedlings and vegetables, and develop a variety of economic crops, the comprehensive benefits of agriculture have been improved.

By the end of 2011, the proportion of primary, secondary and tertiary industries in the town is expected to be 0.3%, 54.2% and 45.5% respectively. Economic management was further standardized. We will improve the financial management and supervision system, comprehensively implement the "two centralization" management, and implement the restructuring of collective enterprises and village level collective economic organizations. We should conscientiously do a good job in the reform of rural property rights system, complete the quantification of village level assets in six villages, namely, Xingxing, Liangong, Lianmeng, LianJian, Maqiao and Sanyu, and orderly promote the quantification of assets in Qizhong village. Urban infrastructure continued to improve. Optimize the regional road grid Bureau and road traffic system, complete the extension project of Dongchuan Road, do a good job in the widening construction of Jiangchuan West Road, Fushi road and other roads, and accelerate the extension project of Yinchun road and Jianchuan road. Renovate rural roads and dangerous bridges, and add and adjust 9 urban bus lines. The natural gas conversion project for residents, enterprises and institutions in market towns and the lighting project for huawang road and Wanghai industrial zone were successfully completed. We should deepen the improvement of water environment and do a good job in long-term river management. We have completed the construction of sewage interception and pipe acceptance projects in the upstream water source protection area of Huangpu River, Yutang area and Sports City, and laid 31.5 km of pipelines in five years. With the continuous promotion of greening construction, the greening coverage rate of the whole town has reached 41.7%, and the per capita public green space area is 23.8 square meters.

Key projects

Key construction projects will be fully implemented. We have successfully completed the construction of supporting facilities for the star farmers' relocation base in the Forest Sports City, and completed the main public construction supporting projects such as Yuanxiang kindergarten, Yuanxiang market and elderly activity room. We have successfully completed such practical government projects as the renovation of the water supply network for residents, the renovation of the market town from flat to slope, the construction of the community cultural activity center, the relocation of kindergartens, and the renovation of homes for the aged. The comprehensive improvement of natural villages has been preliminarily completed, the construction of Maqiao agricultural culture park and the transformation of hexiangqiao old street have taken shape. Highlight the concept of "people's livelihood, ecology, balance and sharing", unify the planning, implement step by step, and promote the planning and construction of the project from a high starting point. The preliminary work of Guangming dairy was carried out smoothly. Actively cooperate with the city's major project construction, successfully complete the relocation task of Minhang freight yard, S32 Airport Expressway and its supporting projects.

Urban construction

In recent years, Maqiao town has invested more than 200 million yuan to build 16 main roads, including Maqiao Avenue, with a total length of 58 kilometers, planting more than 700000 square meters of road greening and 3 economic forest belts
