Caohu Township
Caohu Township, belonging to Luntai County, Bayinguoleng Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the southeast of Luntai County. It is connected with Caohu pasture in the East, Tarim River in the south, Lunnan town in the West and Luntai town and Yangxia town in the north. It is 18 kilometers away from Luntai County, with a total area of 1204.68 square kilometers.
In 1958, Caohu Township became Tarim commune in Luntai County; in 1984, Caohu commune was changed into Caohu township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Cao Hu Township was 1346. In 2019, Caohu country governs six administrative villages, and the people's government is stationed in akekumu village.
The main food crops in Caohu are wheat and corn, and the main animal husbandry is goat. In 2018, Caohu township has two comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

In 1958, it was the Tarim commune in Luntai County.
In 1959, it was changed into Caohu commune.
In 1984, Caohu commune was transformed into Caohu township.
