Jiangsu Road Street

Shinan District governs the streets. It is located in the middle of the area. It is adjacent to Badaguan street in the East, Zhongshan Road Street in the west, Dahai in the South and Shibei District in the north. It covers an area of 1.284 square kilometers. In 2010, there were 28807 permanent residents (2010). It has jurisdiction over 6 communities (including the University Road community of the original Jinkou Road Street). The terrain is high, with many peaks and signal mountains. The main roads are Suzhou Road, Jiangsu Road, Guanxiang 1st Road, Guanxiang 2nd Road, Fulong Road, Laiwu 1st Road, Wuxian 1st Road, Wuxian 2nd Road, Laiwu 2nd Road, Qidong Road, Daxue Road, Longjiang Road, signalhill Road, Dengzhou Road, Yexian Road, Huangxian Road, etc. Scenic spots include signal mountain and Guanxiang mountain.

Historical evolution

Jiangsu Road sub district office was established in December 1954, with an office address at 27 Jiangsu road. In November 1958, it was merged with Longjiang Road Street, and its office address was moved to No. 19 Qidong road. In 1996, it covers an area of 0.7 square kilometers and has a population of 31000. It has jurisdiction over 14 neighborhood committees including Guanxiang 1st Road, Jiangsu Road, Longshan Road, Suzhou Road, Wuxian 1st Road, Wuxian 2nd Road, fulongshan Road, Qidong Road, south section of Laiwu 1st Road, north section of Laiwu 1st Road, south section of Laiwu 2nd Road, north section of Laiwu 2nd Road, signalhill Road, Longjiang Road and Yexian Road, as well as the family Committee of the port authority. On May 25, 2004, it was changed into Jiangsu Road Community Public Service Committee.

Community under jurisdiction

Jiangsu Road community

In March 2001, the former Suzhou Road neighborhood committee and some sections of Jiangsu Road Neighborhood Committee (Jiangsu Road shuanghao 16-44, Dan No. 29-91) merged into Jiangsu Road community. In 2004, the section of Guanxiang No.1 road originally belonging to the neighborhood committee of Longshan road was included; at the end of the same year, the dormitory Committee of the port authority was included. It is adjacent to the East West Expressway in the north and Longshan underground commercial street in the south. It covers an area of 0.21 square kilometers. At the end of 2005, the population was 2401 households with 5862 people and 57 resident groups. The neighborhood committee is located in the north section of Jiangsu Road (no.40a Jiangsu Road).

Fulong Road community

In 2001, the three neighborhood committees of Wuxian 1st Road, Wuxian 2nd Road and south section of Laiwu 1st Road merged into Laiwu 1st Road community. In 2004, some sections of Laiwu No.1 Road community and Laiwu No.2 Road community were merged into Fulong Road community, which got its name because its office was located at No.11 Fulong road. it is located in the south of signal mountain. It covers an area of 0.21 square kilometers. At the end of 2005, there were 2280 households with a population of more than 7200 people and 68 resident groups.

Yexian Road community

The neighborhood committee was established in 1980. In 1998, Laiwu Second Road South neighborhood committee was incorporated. In 2004, Laiwu Second Road North neighborhood committee was included. It is located at the east end of Jiangsu Road community committee, adjacent to Qingdao mountain in the East, Longjiang Road community in the south, signal mountain and Fulong mountain in the back. At the end of 2005, there were 24438 households with a total population of 5006 residents.

Longjiang Road community

The neighborhood committee was established in June 1984. It was divided from the original neighborhood committee of Yexian County Road and has jurisdiction over Longjiang Road section (no.24-37) and Huashan Road section (no.1-19). In 1998, the building yard south of No. 27 Longjiang Road was assigned to the original Jinkou road sub district. in 2001, the original signal Mountain Road neighborhood committee was merged. In 2004, three sections (the whole section of Hengshan Road, part of Huangxian road and Longjiang Road) were included in the community of Daxue Road, and the east section (no.1-11 e, no.2-6) of signalhill road was included in the community of Yexian road. it is located in the east of Jiangsu Road community committee, adjacent to Ocean University of China in the East and welcome hotel in the West. The area is bounded by signalhill Road (13-37, 6a-24) in the north, Hengshan Road (1-5) in the south, Daxue Road (26-52) in the East and Yingbin Hotel in the West. It covers an area of 0.2 square kilometers. At the end of 2005, there were 2186 households with 6480 residents and 48 resident groups.

Qidong Road community

The jurisdiction includes Qidong Road, fulongshan Road, Longshan road and Jiangsu road. It covers an area of 0.18 square kilometers. At the end of 2005, there were 2040 households with a population of more than 5440 people and 41 resident groups.

University Road community

The neighborhood committee was established in the 1950s. In 1999, some sections of Huangxian Road, Longjiang Road and the whole section of Hengshan Road were included in the original Huangxian Road neighborhood committee. In April 2001, the two neighborhood committees of Daxue road and Longhua Road merged into Daxue Road community. in August 2004, after the whole section of Hengshan Road, some sections of Huangxian road and Longjiang Road were assigned to Longjiang Road community, the rest and Longkou Road community were merged into University Road community. The area faces the sea and backs the signal mountain. By the end of 2005, the population was 2483 households, 7159 people and 56 resident groups. The neighborhood committee is located at 13 Longkou Road.
