Arctic town
Beiji Town, belonging to Binzhou City, Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the northwest of the county. It is adjacent to Yongle County and Xiaogong town. The maximum distance from east to west is 14.6 km, and the maximum distance from north to south is 10.2 km, with a total area of 114.39 square kilometers.
As of June 2020, Arctic town has one community and 19 administrative villages. As of 2018, the registered residence population of the Arctic town was 44090. In 2011, the total agricultural output value of Beiji town reached 180 million yuan, the total industrial output value reached 754 million yuan, and the total retail sales of social consumer goods reached 1.68 million yuan.
Historical evolution
Before the Jin Dynasty, there was a post station, which was called Baiji post because all the horses were white. Later, it evolved into Baiji Town, now known as Beiji town.
Baijili was set up in Ming Dynasty.
It was under the jurisdiction of xiangfali in Qing Dynasty.
In 1929, xiangfali was under the jurisdiction of Beiqian district.
In 1933, the Arctic joint protection was set up.
In 1941, Arctic township was established.
In May 1950, it was under the jurisdiction of Lichun Township and Beiji Township in Yimen district.
In 1956, Beiji Township and Xipo Township were restored.
In August 1958, the Arctic commune and Xipo commune were established.
In 1984, Beiji town and Xipo Township were established.
In 2011, Xipo township of Beiji town was abolished and merged into Beiji town.
