Baiwei town
Baiwei Town, belonging to Shanglin County, Nanning City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the southeast of Shanglin County, adjacent to zouwu town of Binyang County in the East, Xiangxian town in the south, Chengtai Township in the west, Sanli town and Xingbin District of Laibin City in the north. The administrative area of Baiwei town is 234.86 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the population of Bai Wei registered residence was 84522.
In 1935, Rongfu Township and Fanfu Township merged to set up Baiwei township. In 1949, the third district of Shanglin county was established. In 1953, the third district was changed to Baiwei district. In 1958, Baiwei district was changed into Baiwei commune. In 1969, Baiwei commune established Chengtai commune. In 1984, Baiwei commune was abolished and divided into Baiwei town and qinpai township. In May 2005, Baiwei town joined qinpai township. As of June 2020, Baiwei town has jurisdiction over 2 communities and 17 administrative villages. The town people's government is stationed in Baiwei.

Baiwei town is located in a semi hilly and semi plain area. In the southeast, there is the southern section of Baxian mountains, Meizi mountain with an altitude of 577 meters, Fenghuang mountain with an altitude of 316 meters in the west, and hilly and plain areas in the middle and south.

Baiwei town has a subtropical monsoon climate. It is characterized by hot spring and summer, cool autumn and short winter. hydrology
There are two major water systems in Shanglin, Qingshui River and Shajiang river. Qingshui River runs through the town from north to south, with a flow of 42 km. Shajiang river is also called Shiluo River, with a flow of 27 km.

In addition to the Langan River, 95% of the river water in the county is collected in the lower reaches of Qingshui River and Shajiang river.
