Yanshan town
Yanshan town is located in Wuchuan County, Zunyi City, Guizhou Province, covering an area of 89.9 square kilometers. It governs 5 villages and 49 villager groups, including 12 villager groups in Yanshan village, 9 villager groups in Daqiao village, 8 villager groups in Maotian village, 6 villager groups in Huilong village and 14 villager groups in Shichao village. The town has 25962.3 mu of cultivated land resources, including 14715 mu of common cultivated land, 7320 mu of paddy field and 11247 mu of temporary cultivated land.
Historical change
Yanshan town was the ancient capital of Ruxian in Tang and Song dynasties. In 1063, it was abandoned and belonged to DURU Town, Pengshui County, Guizhou Province. At the beginning of the Yuan Dynasty, it was divided into Wuchuan County. Qing Kangxi 24 years (1685) is in the city map of the third class. During the reign of Emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty, the hillside of inkstone was turned into a village. In 1916, it belonged to the northern district. In the 15th year of the Republic of China, it belonged to the fourth district. Yanshan town was established in April of the 20th year of the Republic of China, belonging to the Sixth District. In the 27th year of the Republic of China, it was changed into joint protection of Yanshan. In the 31 years of the Republic of China, it was changed into Yanshan township. After liberation, the people's Government of Yanshan district and Yanshan township was set up, stationed in Yanshan hillside. In 1953, it was designated as Yanshan Small Township, and in 1958, it was changed into Yanshan management area, belonging to Zhennan people's commune. In 1961, it was changed into Yanshan people's commune, belonging to Yanshan district. It was changed to Yanshan Township in 1984 and expanded to town in 1992.

Industrial Development
With grain, tobacco, animal husbandry as the leading industry, garlic characteristic industry. The town planted more than 12700 mu of honeysuckle, nearly 100 mu of Atractylodes macrocephala and Bupleurum Chinese herbal medicine base, about 100 mu of red leaf tree, Osmanthus fragrans and other seedling base.
