Linjiang Town
Linjiang Town, the entrusted town of Jiangdong new district, Heyuan City, Guangdong Province, is located in the middle and west of Heyuan City and the north of Jiangdong new district. It governs 10 village committees and 1 neighborhood committee. It is located along the East Bank of Dongjiang River, across the river from Heyuan City and high tech Development Zone. It is the hinterland of Heyuan City's Eastward Development across Dongjiang River. The total area of the town is 135 square kilometers. As of 2017, the urban area is 5 square kilometers, with 41402 permanent residents.
Linjiang town is a national food safety demonstration town, a provincial center town, a provincial health advanced town, and a provincial outstanding town for fire hazard control. Linjiang town is one of the towns which are included in the 13th five year plan of Jiangyuan city. In 2017, Heyuan Jiangdong new area industrial transfer park (Jiangdong New Area Industrial Park), located in Linjiang town and Guzhu town of Jiangdong new area, was rated as the first industrial park of Guangdong Province.
Linjiang town is the center of Heyuan's future urban planning. Close to national highway 250 and Guangmeishan railway, the town government is about 13.4km away from Heyuan City Government and 3.8km away from the south entrance of Huihe expressway. The East Ring Road, provincial highway 242 and Yingke avenue of Heyuan City pass through Linjiang town and are surrounded by Huihe, hehuishan, Hezi and other high-speed highways.
In 2008, Linjiang town achieved GDP of 1.276 billion yuan, tax revenue of 47.12 million yuan and rural per capita income of 5106 yuan. In August of the same year, it was approved as the provincial central town.
geographical environment
Linjiang town is located in the north of Jiangdong new area and on the East Bank of the middle and upper reaches of Dongjiang River. It is adjacent to Baipu town in the East, across the river from Puqian, Yuancheng District, Heyuan City in the west, Yirong town and Guzhu town in the south, and Dongpu, Yuancheng District in the north. The town government is located in linjiangxu, 68 kilometers east of Zijin County. The total area of the town is 135 square kilometers, including 2000 hectares of cultivated land and 8000 hectares of mountainous areas. It has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages and 1 neighborhood committee, with 41402 people (in 2017).
Historical evolution
The name of the town comes from facing Dongjiang River. The Ming Dynasty belonged to the upper and lower Jiangdong societies of kuandedu. In the Qing Dynasty, it was kuandejiang East treaty. In 18 years (1929), it belonged to second areas of Wutong and Pai Nian township. In the 34 years of the Republic of China, it belonged to Bai Ping and Linjiang township. At the beginning of the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belonged to Gubai district and the fourth district. In 1952, it belonged to the Tenth District (Baipu). Linjiang township was established in December 1957. In October 1958, it belonged to Baipu commune. In April 1961, it was divided into Linjiang commune. In September 1983, the commune was withdrawn and divided into districts. In April 1987, it was changed into Linjiang town.
In 1988, Linjiang town had a total population of 4469 households and 24709 people, including 1935 non-agricultural people, with a total area of 129.14 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over tangpai (9 natural villages including kengwei, Jiaopai, Yewu, Shixia, Yangwu, tangpai, Meikeng, guangzutou and Xiaodao), Guangao (9 natural villages including tingtang, Shangyu, Funing, Shanxia, Zhongxin, Tankeng, Fuxia, chishaotang and panguwang), Shengli (9 natural villages including Sankeng, Shangyou, Funing, Shanxia, Zhongxin, Tankeng, Jixia, chishaotang and panguwang), and other natural villages Shangba, Zhongxin, Xiaomu, Guojian, Nianfeng (Dengzhan, Gaoyan, Shangdian, Xinba, Gaoqiao, Luotian), Wufeng (chakeng, Chang'an, Tianxin, Luwu, Tangjiao, Tangwei), chengling (Shangtian, laowei, Hongguang, zhutou, Jiangkou), Lianxin (Shaye, maopu, Songmei, weilou, chisi, Baizhang, Meishan) There are nine natural villages, namely, Sanfang and Aoli, Qianjin (ten natural villages, namely, Tangchun, Guikeng, Laowu, Zhongling, Futian, Guitang, Jingshui, Shahe, Huanli and Xincun), Guilin (thirteen natural villages, namely, Xialing, daling, Gaotang, Qiang, xiaqiang, Shikeng, Zhongxin, Shihu, yuepi, tangliao, Tantou and hengzhen), hekeng (thirteen natural villages, namely, Xiaoshou, Aotou, Dongwei, waling and luowu) 7 natural villages, 10 administrative villages and linjiangwei neighborhood committee.
In 2004, the town governs 10 administrative villages in Guilin, Lianxin, Qianjin, hekeng, chengling, Shengli, Nianfeng, Wufeng, Guangao, tangpai, 1 neighborhood committee in Linjiang and 107 natural villages, with a total area of 130.9 square kilometers and a total population of 28278.

Water and soil resources
Linjiang town is high in the East and low in the west, hilly in the southwest and mountainous in the northeast. The Baipu river flows into the Dongjiang River and forms an alluvial plain at the mouth of the river. Wutong village, Jianshan, is the highest peak in the north, 338 meters above sea level. The climate is warm, the light is sufficient, the average annual temperature is 20.9 ℃, the precipitation is 1889 mm, and the frost free period is more than 310 days. The main mineral resources are refractory, rare earth, diabase, ilmenite, etc. Local specialties include litchi and freshwater fish. The economy is dominated by agriculture, which is the main production area of grain, oil, sugar, beans and red melon in Zijin County.
In 1988, there were 23000 Mu paddy field and 6100 Mu dry land. Most of them are distributed along Dongjiang River and Baipu river. They are vulnerable to drought and waterlogging. There are 45 electric irrigation and drainage machines and a zhankeng reservoir with a storage capacity of 2.08 million cubic meters. There are 7500 mu of peanuts with a total yield of 770 tons, 3400 mu of soybeans with a total yield of 251 tons, 2700 mu of sugarcane with a total yield of 8800 tons and 288 tons of wheat. All kinds of fruits cover an area of 7400 mu, with a total output of 198 tons.

In 2004, with the adjustment of agriculture and rural economy, the whole town invested more than 1.8 million yuan in the construction of agricultural infrastructure, repaired 2 reservoirs, reconstructed 5 mu Shi Po, built 1.2 kilometers of three side light channels, improved production conditions and stabilized grain production. In 2004, the rice planting area was 31982 mu, and the total grain output was 13066 tons. Expand the planting area of vegetables, peanuts and other economic crops, planting 19080 mu of vegetables, with a total output of 47586 tons; planting 9577 mu of peanuts, with a total output of 2059 tons; the agricultural leading enterprises led by Wenshi (Linjiang) chicken farm in Guangdong Province drive the development of breeding industry, reducing the burden of rural tax reform by 254000 yuan, and the actual per capita burden is 15.6 yuan.

In terms of township industry, in 1988, there were refractory stone factories, food factories, "three capital enterprises" wool weaving factories and other enterprises, among which refractory stones were sold inside and outside the province, with an annual output value of 260000 yuan. There are two wharves, a town fleet, a total tonnage of 140 tons, and an annual output value of 100000 yuan. There are Zihe, Gaolin and Gulin highways.
Commercial outlets are concentrated in linjiangwei. Before the founding of the people's Republic of China, it was called Shigong Shenwei, with more than 20 shops. In 1988, there were hundreds of commercial stores, including more than 30 Chinese business and collective stores, 285 individual businesses in the town, and the annual market trade value was 2.25 million yuan. The new commodity market covers an area of 1500 square meters.

In 2004, the total fiscal revenue was 9.54 million yuan, including 3 million yuan of state tax, 5.2 million yuan of local tax and 1.34 million yuan of agricultural "three taxes"; the fiscal revenue at the same level was 7.29 million yuan; the circulation of banking and credit departments was active, with 39.5 million yuan of deposit balance of credit cooperatives and 27.3 million yuan of loan balance.

In 2004, the total industrial and agricultural output value of the town reached 398 million yuan, of which 203 million yuan was industrial output value and 3825 yuan was rural per capita net income, an increase of 35%, 100.95% and 5.3% respectively over the previous year.
