Xingping town

Xingping town belongs to Zhashui County, Shangluo City, Shaanxi Province. Located in the southeast of Zhashui County, it borders chaizhuang town in the East, Daping town of Zhen'an County in the south, Fenghuang town in the West and hongyansi town in the north. The total area is 254.09 square kilometers.

Historical evolution

At the end of Ming Dynasty and the beginning of Qing Dynasty, there were many wild apricot trees in a flat at the exit of Jinjing River, so it was called "apricot tree flat". Later generations used to call it "Xingping village" and "Xingping township".

In 1949, xingshuping township was established.

In 1953, it was changed to Huotai township management area.

In 1958, Huotai commune was established and put under Zhen'an County.

In 1961, it returned to Zhashui County.
