Linjiang Town, subordinate to Yongchuan District of Chongqing, is located in the southeast of Yongchuan District, adjacent to Wushi town of Jiangjin District in the East, Hegeng town in the south, Weixing Lake Street in the West and Chenshi street in the north, with a total area of 77.1 square kilometers.
In 1666, Linjiang town was called Linjiang Town, and in October 1985, it was changed from Linjiang township to Linjiang town. History of construction
In 1666, Linjiang town was called Linjiang town.
Linjiang township was founded in 1933. In 1935, Linjiang township was changed into Linjiang joint protection. In 1938, Linjiang Lianbao was changed into Linjiang experimental township. Lintong township was incorporated into the experimental village in 1940. In 1941, Lintong township was established in Linjiang experimental township.
In 1949, it belonged to the third district of Yongchuan county.
In April 1956, Long'an township was merged into Zitong township.
In September 1958, Zitong Township and Pu'an Township merged to form Linjiang commune.
In 1983, it was changed from Linjiang commune to Linjiang township.
In October 1985, it was changed from Linjiang township to Linjiang town.
In September 1992, gaotan Township and Pu'an Township were merged into Linjiang town.
