Sihe Township

The four Township is subordinate to Lindian County, Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province, located in the northern part of Lindian County, adjacent to Dongxing Township, the border with the Grand Township, the West and the three township, and the north border with the prosperous county of Fuyu County, Qigihar. In 2018, the area was 436.46 square kilometers, and the registered residence population was 24866.

In the late Qing Dynasty, it belonged to andating and andaxian. In the 36th year of the Republic of China (June 1947), it belonged to the Sixth District. In 1968, it was renamed the Cultural Revolution commune. In June 1981, it was renamed Sihe commune. In 1984, the commune was transformed into a township. As of October 2019, Sihe township has jurisdiction over 11 administrative villages.

In 2018, Sihe Township had 6 industrial enterprises and 47 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Historical evolution

In the late Qing Dynasty, it belonged to andating and andaxian.

In the third year of the Republic of China (November 1914), it was put under the administration of Lindian.

In the sixth year of the Republic of China (July 1917), it belonged to the Fourth District of Lindian county.

In 1923, it belonged to Conger veterinary village.

In 1931, it belonged to the Department of welfare and development.

In the 35th year of the Republic of China (March 1946), it belonged to Fufa district.

In the 36th year of the Republic of China (June 1947), it belonged to the Sixth District.

In 1956, the four villages of Taiping, Xinsheng, Lianhe and Xuetian were merged into Sihe township.

In 1958, it merged with Fufa, Yonghe and Xinjian to form Sihe commune.

In 1968, it was renamed the Cultural Revolution commune.

In June 1981, it was renamed Sihe commune.

In 1984, the commune was transformed into a township.
