Fuxing township is located in the northwest of Pingle County, 7.5km away from the county seat, facing Puyi township of Yangshuo County across the river in the West. The Township People's government is located in jiyutang village, on the Bank of Lijiang River. The township governs 9 administrative villages with a total population of 18692, inhabiting Zhuang, Han, Yao and other nationalities. The total land area of the township is 86.74 square kilometers, with 17390 mu of cultivated land, including 9050 mu of paddy field. There are 130000 mu of forest area, and about 15000 mu of barren hills suitable for fruit.

The territory is hilly and rocky area with mild climate, rich vegetation in mountainous areas, and many karst caves and spring wells. Lijiang River and chajiang River pass through the territory from the west to the north, respectively. The river water is rich and clear. It flows through eight village committees of the township. There are many peaks along the river, and there are many sandbars in the river. It is suitable for tourism development. Water and land transportation can directly reach Guangdong market. Enterprises and development agriculture are the main economic pillars of the township at present. The main enterprises are the first and second paper mills in Fuxing Township, sanitary paper mills in Fuxing Township, etc.; the development of agricultural fruits is rapid, with citrus, orange and pomelo as the main fruits in Lijiang River Basin, and Yueshi and early maturing chestnut as the main fruits in chajiang River Basin. It was incorporated into Pingle town in 2003.
