Xilian Township
Xilian township is located in the southwest of Wuyi, Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province. It is connected with Liucheng town in the southeast, Suichang County in the West and Tangxi in Jinhua City in the north. The township government is located in Makou, 50 kilometers away from the county seat, covering an area of 122.3 square kilometers. It governs 19 administrative villages with a population of 4754 (2017).
Division evolution
In 1950, yuanhexi Township and Xiyuan Township were merged and called Xilian township. In 1958, it was the Xilian administrative area of Liucheng (satellite) people's commune. In 1961, it was founded and in 1983, it was renamed Xilian township. The first people's revolutionary district government of Wuyi county approved it.
natural environment
In the northwest, the terrain is high, the mountains overlap, and the mountains are towering and winding. There are nine peaks above 1000 meters above sea level. Niutou mountain, which is bounded by Suichang County, is 1560.2 meters above sea level, the highest point in Jinhua City. In the East, there are many hills and streams. The main stream is Xixi (Wuxi), which originates from the North Ridge of Niutoushan mountain and flows to daxikou through neian reservoir. Zhangxi flows into xudongliu and into Xuanping stream.

Water resources
Source: there are two medium-sized reservoirs, neian and Qingling, with a total capacity of 37.99 million cubic meters; there are xuanpingxi II hydropower station and five small hydropower stations, with a total installed capacity of 1.37 million kilowatts.
mineral resources
There are more than 60 gold ore bodies and 10 Silver veins, with a total storage capacity of 11 tons of silver and 50 kg of gold; there are provincial medium-sized Fluorite Mining Areas with a storage capacity of more than 500000 tons, which are export products.
Forest resources
There are 7133.3 hectares of forest land, including more than 9000 mu of virgin forest at the foot of Niutou mountain.
Wildlife resources
There are more than 130 kinds of precious tree species and rare wild animals such as tiger, leopard and monkey. In November 2002, the township was approved as a municipal ecological Township by the Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau, and in March 2005, the Niutoushan area was approved as a Provincial Forest Park (under development) by the provincial forestry department.
Agricultural resources
Agricultural products are mainly rice and corn; economic products include chestnut, tea, Xuanlian, Lentinus edodes, sericulture, medicinal materials, kiwi fruit, dried bamboo shoots, Indocalamus leaves, etc.; the existing specialty base is 11000 mu, with a per capita area of 1.6 mu; the first edible fungus demonstration base in Wuyi County, Lentinus edodes Park, is built; the industry includes small hydropower, mining, bamboo processing, tea making, etc.
Infrastructure
Makou area of the township is the first place to move, the largest scale of relocation and the fastest speed of construction in Wuyi County. So far, 1399 households and 4133 people in 29 natural villages of 17 administrative villages have moved down the mountain. Among them, 4 villages such as Longkeng have moved to Liucheng and sanshenkeng to Taoxi, 4:00 villages such as 400tian have moved to Wangzhai, and 891 households and 2601 people in other 8 administrative villages have moved to Makou area. Supporting facilities such as drinking water, electricity, roads, communication and sewage disposal have been basically completed, forming a small market town.
