Donglai Street

Donglai street belongs to Dongcheng District, Longkou City, Yantai City, Shandong Province. It is located in the west of the middle of Longkou City. It is the seat of the municipal Party committee and the municipal government. It is 8 kilometers long from north to South and 6.5 kilometers wide from east to west. The total area of the district is about 24.9 square kilometers, with a total population of 112454 (2010).

In July 2020, it won the honorary title of national health Township from 2017 to 2019.

Street introduction

Donglai street is the political, economic and cultural center of Longkou City. It has jurisdiction over 51 administrative villages. The sub district office has superior geographical location and convenient transportation. There are Yanwei road and mouhuang road in the East and West, which run through the whole town. There are six asphalt roads leading to other towns, and there are passenger and freight shuttle buses to Beijing, Shanghai, Jinan, Qingdao, Yantai and other large and medium-sized cities every day. It is 90km away from Yantai Laishan airport in the East and 15km away from Longkou port, the largest local port in China in the West.

Honors

The street has been awarded the honorary titles of "red flag collective", "advanced unit of tertiary industry", "five good towns (streets)", "model collective of project construction" by Longkou municipal Party committee and municipal government, and "20 best towns (streets)" by Yantai city.
