Jianping Township, subordinate to Wushan County, Chongqing, is located in the south of Wushan County, bordering Peishi Township in the East, Guandu town in the south, Quchi Township in the west, and the Yangtze River in the north. It is 25 kilometers away from the people's Government of Wushan County, with a total area of 104.67 square kilometers.
In April 1953, Jianping township was under the jurisdiction of Nanling Township when it was designated as JianZheng township; in September 1995, it was designated as Jianping Township from Nanling township. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Pingxiang was 13384. As of June 2020, Jianping rural area has jurisdiction over 8 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is stationed in Jianping village.
The main food crops in Jianping township are wheat, corn, sweet potato and potato; the main animal husbandry is raising pigs, sheep and poultry; the main industry is building materials and cement production. History of construction
In April 1953, when the township was established, it belonged to Nanling township; in October of the same year, Yangliu Township and Baiyang Township were separated from Nanling township.
In March 1955, Baiyang township was merged into Yangliu township.
In April 1958, Nanling and Yangliu merged to form Yangliu commune.
In July 1961, Nanling township was divided out and Nanling commune was established.
In March 1981, Yangliu commune was renamed Jianping commune.
In April 1984, Jianping commune was transformed into Pingxiang.
In April 1992, Jianping township was merged into Nanling township.
In September 1995, Nanling township was designated as Jianping township.
