Desheng Town

Desheng Town is located in the north of Pingchang County, Sichuan Province, adjacent to Guangna Township and Sanxi in Tongjiang County in the East, Wumu and Shuanglu Township in the south, Sima town and Gaosheng Township in the west, Huaxi in Bazhou District, Taiping and Minsheng in Tongjiang County in the north. It is about 42 kilometers away from Pingchang county. The highest altitude of the town is the main peak of Beishan temple. The town has the largest bull market in Northeast Sichuan.

On May 25, 2020, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Bazhong City to adjust the administrative divisions of Tongjiang County and Pingchang county (cfzm [2020] No. 4): Wumu town was abolished, and the administrative areas of the former Wumu Town, Gongping village and Yulu village of Shuanglu Township were put under the jurisdiction of Desheng Town, and the people's Government of Desheng Town was stationed at No. 53 Nanshan street, Desheng community.

It is 42 kilometers away from the county, covering an area of 46.35 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 14 administrative villages, 1 community neighborhood committee, 95 villager groups, a total population of 21820 (2017), and a total cultivated area of 24590 mu. Red Culture

Desheng Town was formerly known as nannanchang (named after Nanshan and Beishan at the head and tail of the town). It was a place for military strategists of all dynasties. In 1933, the Red Army set up a Soviet government here. In October, Xu Qianqian, commander in chief of the Fourth Front Army of the Red Army, held a meeting of cadres at or above the army level in Beishan Temple of the town to study and formulate the operational policy of the "Xuanda campaign". From 1932 to the spring of 1935, the red army fought against the enemy here for more than 30 times. Now Beishan temple is not only a red cultural Memorial, but also a holy land of Buddhist culture, and a good place for tourism.

economic development

Commerce and trade are active and industry is flourishing. Desheng is the junction of Tong, Ba and Ping counties. Merchants have always gathered and trade has been active. Desheng bull market is well-known throughout Sichuan. It is the largest commodity cattle trading market in Northeast Sichuan, with an annual turnover of more than 17 million yuan and a tax of more than 1.2 million yuan. The animal husbandry industry based on the bull market has become the pillar industry to increase the income of the whole town. Desheng tea factory has modern production equipment and strong technical force. "Beishan Cuiming" won the gold award of the second China Agricultural Expo. In 2004, it was rated as pollution-free food by the Ministry of agriculture, and its products are sold at home and abroad. Desheng Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. has strong strength and ranks in the forefront of the same industry in the county. It exports more than 1000 labor per year, and the number of self-employed households in the town has grown to more than 200. It has laid a firm foundation for the prosperity of the market, invigorating the circulation, and creating tax revenue.

Oil road and cement road are directly connected to the seat of the government. The total mileage of the town is 316.3 km, including 22.3 km of Cross County Highway and 194 km of village highway. The station has been fully completed. The drinking water supply in the town has been completely solved.
