Xinyuan Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Xinyuan County, Yili Kazak Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the middle of Xinyuan County, connecting biestobie Township in the East and North, and taled town in the West and south, with a total administrative area of 426.84 square kilometers.
Before the founding of the people's Republic of China, Xinyuan town belonged to the Tuohai, biegenbiti, Bayan, and hable tribes of Kazak; in 1984, when the government and society were separated, it merged with Xinyuan town (with or without institutions at that time) and was called Xinyuan town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Xinyuan town was 47587. As of June 2020, Xinyuan town has 5 communities and 6 administrative villages.
The main food crops in Xinyuan town are wheat, corn and soybean; the main animal husbandry is raising sheep, cattle, horses, pigs and poultry. In 2018, there were 26 industrial enterprises in Xinyuan town.
History of construction
Before the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belonged to the Tuohai, biegenbiti, Bayan and habul tribes of Kazak.
At the beginning of the founding of the people's Republic of China, there were two townships, three townships and five townships in one district.
During the period of communization, it belonged to October commune.
In 1965, the first, second and third production teams and the fourth production team were set up from October commune.
During the "Cultural Revolution", it was renamed Xiangyang commune.

After flowing to ahetubek, it turns north, flows to the northwest below qiapu River Station, and joins Gongnaisi river below Kalasu, with a length of 123 km. It is the second largest river in Xinyuan county. There are Jianghan canal, Laodong canal and Dazhai canal. The groundwater level is high and the water quality is excellent.
