Xincheng, a county in Tianshui, Gansu, is located in the north of East of Qingshui County, east of Zhangjiachuan's Hui Autonomous County, Yan's hometown, Qin Ting Town, South Baisha Town and Yongqing Town, west gate, north to Gong Men town, with an area of 127.20 square kilometers, and 12272 registered residence population in 2018.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), old towns were set up. In 1950, it belonged to the old urban and rural areas of Gongmen district. In 1959, they belonged to Hualing brigade and Fubao brigade of Huangmen commune. In 1961, Xincheng commune, mainland commune, Wenquan commune and Fubao commune were established. In 1965, Wenquan commune and mainland commune were merged into Xincheng commune. In 1983, the commune was transformed into a township. As of June 2020, the new town has jurisdiction over one community and 11 administrative villages.
In 2018, there will be 4 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in new urban and rural areas.
Historical evolution
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), old towns were set up.
In 1950, it belonged to the old urban and rural areas of Gongmen district.
In 1952, it belonged to the old urban and rural areas of Huangmen District, Hualing Township and Tangyu township of Baisha district.
In 1955, the old urban and rural areas were changed into Hualing township.
In 1959, they belonged to Hualing brigade and Fubao brigade of Huangmen commune.
In 1961, Xincheng commune, mainland commune, Wenquan commune and Fubao commune were established.
In 1965, Wenquan commune and mainland commune were merged into Xincheng commune.
In 1983, the commune was transformed into a township.

By the end of 2011, Xincheng Township had 12 administrative villages, including Xincheng, Zhanghe, Yanghe, Wangyao, Continental, fangwan, Liwan, Sihe, Puwei, Huangliang, Yanchuan and Xieshan, with 70 villager groups.
As of June 2020, the new town has jurisdiction over one community and 11 administrative villages. The people's Government of Xincheng village is stationed in Xincheng town.

The proven underground mineral deposits in Xincheng rural area include magnetite and marble. Among them, the reserve of magnetite is 9 million tons. The developed magnetite is located in Xiaxia Yangou area of Xincheng village, with an area of 0.12 square kilometers, geological reserves of 12 million tons, recoverable capacity of 8 million tons and annual output of 2 million tons.
