Donghe town
Donghe Town, subordinate to Dongfang City, Hainan Province, is located in the Middle East of Dongfang City. It faces qicha town of Changjiang Li Autonomous County across Changhua River in the East, Jiangbian Township in the south, Tian'an Township in the West and Datian town in the northwest. The town people's government is 30.7 kilometers away from Dongfang City. The total area is 323 square kilometers.
In 1957, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged into Dongfang Town, Guangba Township and ERLE township. In March 1987, the district was withdrawn and townships were established as Dongfang town and Guangba town. In 1997, Dongfang town was changed into Donghe town. In August 2002, Donghe town and Guangba Township merged into Donghe town. By the end of 2018, the population of Donghe registered residence was 24266. As of June 2020, Donghe town has jurisdiction over 1 community and 19 administrative villages. The town people's government is located in Donghe market.

Historical evolution
In Song Dynasty, it was subordinate to Zhoudong (located in Zhongfang Village) and Loudong (located in qingen county).
From 1935 to 1939, it belongs to Ledong County.
In 1951, it belonged to five districts of Ledong County.
In April 1952, it belongs to the first district of Dongfang (small) county.
In 1957, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged into Dongfang Town, Guangba Township and ERLE township.
In October 1958, it was called Dongfanghong commune and Hongxing commune.
In December 1958, Dongfanghong commune and Hongxing commune merged into dongfangcommune.
In 1961, Dongfang commune was divided into Dongfang commune, Tian'an commune, Guangba commune and Jiangbian commune.
In September 1983, it was Dongfang district and Guangba district.
In March 1987, the district was withdrawn and townships were established as Dongfang town and Guangba town.
In 1993, chongbao and Wanda villages in Dongfang town and Nanyao, Erlong, baobai and Baoding villages in Guangba Township moved to Datian township; Yudao villages in Dongfang town and Malong and ERLE villages in Guangba Township moved to Baoban township.
In 1997, Dongfang town was changed into Donghe town.
In August 2002, Donghe town and Guangba Township merged into Donghe town.
