Nanwu Township
Nanwu township is located in the middle of Pingchuan County, with Fengcheng town and Xicheng Township in the north, Beizhang Township in the southwest, Xiaqu town and Liuhulan town in the East. The total area of the township is 30.72 square kilometers, accounting for 2.88% of the total area of the county.
Basic information
Name and origin
Nanwu village is 7.5km southeast of the county. The former sites of Shouyang County in the Northern Wei Dynasty, Wenshui County in the Sui Dynasty and Wuxing County in the Tang Dynasty are all located in the present old Chengzhuang, because the village is located in the south of the old city, once known as the south of the small city. Since the song and Yuan Fu (1098), Nanwu capital was established, later named Nanwu. Nanwu Township gets its name because the Party committee, the people's Congress, the government and the CPPCC are stationed in Nanwu village.
Natural climate
Nanwu township is flat with an altitude of less than 800 meters. Wenyu River and Ciyao river run from north to south, with fertile land and suitable climate. The average annual temperature is 10.4. C. The frost free period is 170 days, and the annual precipitation is about 490 mm.
History of construction
From the founding of new China to may 1953, Wenshui County implemented the system of district and village. The whole county was divided into seven districts, belonging to the Sixth District. From May 1953 to October 1954, the county implemented the district rural system, and Nanwu township was under the jurisdiction of the Sixth District, with jurisdiction over three villages. In October 1954, the county abolished the district system and implemented the rural system. Nanwu township was under the jurisdiction of the county directly under the central government, with three villages under its jurisdiction and township organs stationed in Nanwu village. In June 1956, Nanwu Township had eight villages under its jurisdiction for the second time. In March 1958, Nanwu Township had 10 villages under its jurisdiction for the third time. In October 1958, Wenshui Qie county realized the people's communization and established the people's commune of Nanwu red banner. In November 1958, Wenshui County was merged into Fenyang County, and the people's commune of Nanwu red banner was under the jurisdiction of Fenyang county. In September 1959, the organizational system of Wenshui County was restored, and the people's commune of Nanwu red banner returned to the jurisdiction of Wenshui County. In April 1961, the people's commune of Nanwu red banner was renamed as Nanwu people's commune, which is located in the Nanwu production brigade and has nine production brigades under its jurisdiction. In April 1984, the people's commune of the whole county was changed into township (town) village system, and Nanwu people's commune was changed into Nanwu township. Township authorities are located in Nanwu village, 7.5km away from the county. As of December 2011, Nanwu town has nine administrative villages, namely, Nanwu, Dongzhuang, Xizhuang, Majiazhai, Yangjiazhai, wujiazhai, beimingyang, nanmingyang and ximingyang.

In the total population, there are 12812 males, accounting for 51.20%; 12209 females, accounting for 48.80%; 6639 persons under 18 years old, accounting for 26.53%; 7004 persons between 18 and 35 years old, accounting for 27.99%; 7974 persons between 35 and 60 years old, accounting for 31.87%. In 2011, the birth rate was 10.29%. The mortality rate was 4.37 ‰, and the natural growth rate was 5.92 ‰. The population density of the township is 815.02 per square kilometer. 19940 in 2017 (2017).
economic development
The primary industry is mainly planting, supplemented by breeding. The output value accounts for 20% of the total output value of the township. Planting industry is mainly composed of traditional food crops and some economic crops. Traditional food crops are corn and wheat, accounting for 90% of the total planting area. Part of the economic crops are sweet potato, potato, fruit trees and vegetables, accounting for only 10% of the total planting area. the breeding industry mainly focuses on cattle, sheep, pigs and chickens. The distribution of pig and sheep is relatively uniform. Cattle and chicken farming is relatively concentrated, and there is a large-scale dairy cow farm in Xizhuang village, with 100 cows in Wen'an dairy farm. There are mainly two large-scale commercial cattle, both in Yangjiazhai village, with a scale of more than 30. Majiazhai village has the largest number of cattle, but it has not formed a scale, and most of them are scattered farmers. Chickens are mainly distributed in Dongzhuang, Xizhuang, Nanwu and wujiazhai villages. There are five large-scale chicken farms with more than 10000 chickens, with the largest scale of 30000 chickens in Li Guangdou chicken farm of wujiazhai. the secondary industry is mainly machinery manufacturing and light industry. Machinery manufacturing is mainly casting and template enterprises, a total of 11, machinery manufacturing industry Dongzhuang village Guanghua cast pipe group as a leading enterprise. The light industry is mainly composed of paper making and wood processing industries, with a total of 13 enterprises, including 8 paper-making enterprises, mainly distributed in Nanwu and Xizhuang villages, and 5 woodworking enterprises with Yuhuan packaging paper company as the leading enterprise. Most of them are distributed in Nanwu, which is the largest wood processing industry. Yilin energy group, with an annual output of 700000 tons of coking, is under commissioning. There are 15 large-scale enterprises with an annual output value of more than 1 million, with a total output value of 780 million yuan and a tax revenue of 15 million yuan.

Nanwu Village

Dongzhuang Village
Wenshui County is located 10 kilometers east. There was once a Dasha River between Dongzhuang and Xizhuang. The river stopped flowing in 1823 and disappeared year by year. Because the village is in the east of Dasha River, it is named Dongzhuang. In 1984, the production brigade was changed into a villagers' committee. In 1990, the village had a population of 3520 and cultivated 7230 mu.
Xizhuang Village
Wenshui County is located 10 kilometers east. There used to be a Dasha River between Xizhuang and Dongzhuang. The river stopped flowing in 1823 and disappeared year by year. Because the village is in the west of the original Dasha River, it is named Xizhuang. In 1984, it was changed from production brigade to villagers' committee. In 1990, the village had a population of 2255 and cultivated land of 4251 mu.
Majiazhai
The village is 4 kilometers east of Wenshui County. The village used to be the same natural village as Lihong village, but later it was divided into two natural villages due to flood. Therefore, the village is located to the south, so it is called nanlihong village. Later, because of the large number of people surnamed Ma, it was renamed Majiazhai village. In 1984, it was changed from production brigade to villagers' committee. In 1990, the village had a population of 1107 and cultivated 2079 mu.
Yangjiazhai
The village is located 4.5 kilometers east of Wenshui County. The village was first built by the residents of Yang family, so it was named Yangjiazhai village. In 1984, it was changed from production brigade to villagers' committee. In 1990, the village had a population of 1581 and cultivated 2085 mu.
Wujiazhai
The village is located 5 kilometers east of Wenshui County. The village was once known as Zhaizi village. Later, because the Wu family accounted for about 80% of the village, and the Wu family was relatively prosperous, it was named wujiazhai. In 1984, the production brigade was changed into a villagers' committee. In 1990, the village had a population of 1726 and cultivated land of 2660 mu.
Beimingyang
The village is 7.5km southeast of Wenshui County. This section of the porcelain kiln river is called the Mingyang river. The Mingyang river once flowed through the south of the village, so it is called the North Mingyang village. In 1984, it was changed from production brigade to villagers' committee. Nanmingyang
The village is 7.5km southeast of Wenshui County. This section of the porcelain kiln river is called Mingyang river. Xi Mingyang
