Hongxing Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Jiguan District, Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the south of Jiguan District, adjacent to Jidong Town, Jidong County in the East, Lixin street in the south, Xijiao Township in the West and Nanshan street in the north, with an administrative area of 70.00 square kilometers.
By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Hongxing township was 30500. As of October 2019, Hongxing rural has jurisdiction over eight administrative villages.

In May 1956, Hongxing township of Jiguan district was established.
In September 1958, it was changed into Hongxing commune, with jurisdiction over 14 production brigades, namely, Xitai, Dongtai, Hongxing, Renhe, Chaoyang, Taiyangsheng, Dongsheng, xijixi, Xinfa, Liangjia, Tuanjie, Zhongxing, Jixing and Lixin.
In December 1983, the commune was transformed into a township with jurisdiction over 11 villages including Hongxing, Dongtai, Xitai, Taiyang, Hongguang, Renhe, Hongsheng, Qianjin, Jixing, Lixin and Chaoyang.
In March 2002, Taiyang village, hongguangrenhe village were merged into Hongtai village, and Lixin village was merged into Dongtai village.
