Xiaochengzi Township, belonging to Nong'an County, Changchun City, Jilin Province, is located in the north of Nong'an County, bordering huangyuquan Township in the East, Xinnong Township and Gaojiadian town in the south, Halahai town in the west, halamaudu town and Zengsheng town in Fuyu County in the north. It is 39.6km away from Nong'an County, with a total area of 182 square kilometers.
In the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty, Xiaochengzi Township belonged to the changchunting Nongle Society (Huanghuagang); in 1983, it was changed from Xiaochengzi commune to Xiaochengzi township. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in small town was 34459. As of June 2020, Xiaochengzi township has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages.

History of construction
In the reign of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to changchunting Nongle Society (Huanghuagang). Qing Guangxu 33 years (1907), is the city. In 1910, it belonged to three districts.
In 1926, it belonged to the new five districts. During the period of the Northeast occupied by the Japanese, there was a small chengzibao. In 1939, it was changed to Xiaochengzi village. In 1946, it belonged to Gaojiadian district. In 1947, it belonged to seven districts of Gaojiadian.
In 1956, it was divided into three townships: Xiaochengzi, tanjiabaozi and Yanjiang.
In 1958, Gaojiadian and Xiaochengzi were merged into Gaojiadian commune.
In 1961, Gaojiadian commune established Xiaochengzi commune.
In 1983, Xiaochengzi commune was transformed into Xiaochengzi township.
