Qiaojiawan Township
Qiaojiawan Township, located in the southeast of Puxian, Taishan east slope. It borders Hongdong in the East, Yaodu District in the southeast, Heilongguan town in the West and Tailin Township in the north. With a total area of 122.42 square kilometers, 1259 hectares of arable land, rich coal mining industry and developed transportation, rock road runs through the whole area, and is the main commercial Township in Puxian.
Historical evolution
At the end of Song Dynasty and the beginning of Yuan Dynasty, there were many small villages scattered around Qiaojiawan. Because of frequent wars and foreign invasion, they were weak in resistance. As a big village, it was named Yong'an village to pray for peace. Later, it developed into Yong'an town. After the completion of Yong'an Town, in order to ensure the safety of the town, a fort was built in the East and west of the town, which are now Qianbao village and Houbao village The earthquake and plague left Yong'an town in ruins.
During the Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty, Qiao Shibao and Qiao Nanyuan, who moved from wayaopo, Qingjian County, Shaanxi Province, settled down here. Cao, Xin, Cheng, Wu, Li, Ren and other people have moved here. Because Ding Xingwang, a member of the Qiao family, was very influential in this area, he named it "Qiao Jia Wan" after his family name. The township is located in the rocky mountain area, a warm temperate continental climate, the terrain is wet and cold, the average altitude is 1500 meters, the average annual temperature is 7.5 ℃, the average rainfall is 600 mm, and the average frost free period is about 150 days. It is rich in mineral resources, especially coal, followed by iron, limestone, dolomite, quartz, clay, lead and vanadium. There are many natural forests in the area, with the coverage rate of arbor, shrub and grass reaching 60%. Taishan is one of the main timber production bases in Luliang Mountain forest area, and the main tree species are Pinus koraiensis, Quercus liaotungensis, Betula platyphylla, Pinus bungeana, etc.
Current economic situation
The township coal industry as the leading industry, one of the county's coal production base. In 2006, there were 25 coal mines, 4 coking plants, 17 coal washing plants and 3 iron works in the township. The main industrial products were raw coal, clean coal, machine coke and unburned bricks. The total industrial output value is 1.2 billion yuan, ranking first in the county.
The agriculture of the township is mainly planting, followed by breeding. The main crops are corn, potato, oil and so on. In 2006, the sown area of grain was 1120 hectares, and the grain output was 2845 tons, accounting for 10.6% of the total grain output value of the county, ranking the fourth in the county; the per capita output value was 0.28 tons, ranking the fifth in the county; the oil production was 103 tons, accounting for 16.3% of the total oil production of the county, ranking the second in the county. Breeding industry mainly includes cattle, sheep, pigs, etc. In 2006, there were 1937 cattle, accounting for 10.7% of the total number of cattle in the county, 796 pigs, accounting for 8.2% of the total number of sheep in the county, and 1450 sheep, accounting for 4.8% of the total number of sheep in the county. The per capita income of farmers was 2630 yuan, ranking fifth in the county, 10.4 times higher than that in 1985.
infrastructure
The township is the main commercial town in the back mountain area of the county, with developed transportation. Rock highway runs through 38 village committees in the county. There are 14 rural roads in the township, with a mileage of 100 km. Every day, there are bus routes to Linfen, Puxian and Hongdong. The whole Township realizes the village to village direct control telephone. There are more than 1800 home calls. In 2002, 12 low-voltage lines of villagers' committees were completed, and all 54 villagers' groups were electrified.
There are 22 schools in the township, including 3 middle schools and 19 primary schools, with 1529 students and 163 teaching staff; 2 health centers and 83 medical staff.
Development goals
Industrialization and urbanization are the basic driving force and leading force to promote the development of modern economy. We should put half of new industrialization and characteristic urbanization into the level and height of development strategy. Qiaojiawan township is rich in coal resources and has begun to take shape in coal chemical industry. We should strive to make it bigger, stronger and better, and develop six characteristic pillar industries of new coal, coke, metallurgy, electric power and coal chemical transportation, so as to form a diversified industrial support system.

Project construction in 2006:
The completed projects include: 1. Hongyuan 2 × 2.5km coal gangue power plant. Hongyuan coal and coke Co., Ltd. invested 280 million yuan and completed power generation in October 2006. 2. Shangdian village resettlement project. With a total investment of 6.8 million yuan, the civil engineering project was completed in May 2006. 3. Muping village resettlement project. With a total investment of 3.6 million yuan, the civil engineering project was completed in May 2006. 4. Liujiashan coal preparation plant. With a total investment of 10.8 million yuan, the infrastructure project was completed in November 2006.
The projects under construction are: 1. Outer ring road construction project. The total investment is 10.61 million yuan, from xinjiawan to Houpu, with a total length of 3.908 kilometers, a width of 8.5 meters, and a fully leached oil surface. The subgrade project has been completed and is expected to be open to traffic in May 2007. 2. Teaching building of Qiaojiawan middle school. With a total investment of 1.3 million yuan, the civil engineering, water, heating and electricity have been completed and will be completed in May 2007. 3. The inpatient building of Qiaojiawan health center. With a total investment of 1.2 million yuan, the civil engineering has been completed and will be put into use in May 2007.

Taishan Baiyi cave
Taishan Baiyi cave is located 8 kilometers northwest of Qiaojiawan village, opposite Mingshan mountain and in the valley to the east of Taishan Mountain. It is surrounded by auspicious clouds and dense pines and cypresses. It is an excellent summer resort.
According to the inscription of baiyidong Temple rebuilt in 1524, the temple is a quadrangle building with an area of 800 square meters, including main hall, stage and pillow kiln. The main hall is a limestone cave, which is 2 meters high, 10 meters wide and 23 meters deep. The clear spring is dripping all the year round, as if ancient people lived in it. Inside, there is an iron statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva in Baiyi, and more than 20 iron statues of waitong and 18 luozhi. The Buddha statue was stolen during the "Cultural Revolution" and belongs to the county-level cultural relics protection unit.
