Xiaotang town
Xiao Tang Town, belonging to Jianping County, Chaoyang City, Liaoning, is located in the south central part of Jianping county. It is adjacent to sham Jing Town, and is located on the border with Qingfeng mountain town. It borders on three Mongolian villages, and the north is adjacent to the Bai Shan township and Zhangjia yingzi town. The area is 178.06 square kilometers. Up to 2018, the registered residence population was 18943.
In 1903, Jianping County was established and Xinqiu (now Jianping town) was administrated. Xiaotang was located in the village of Xiaotang in Mongolia. In October 1998, the township was set up. In 2003, the original 13 villages were merged into 10 villages. As of June 2020, Xiaotang town has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages.
In 2018, there were 13 industrial enterprises in Xiaotang Town, including 2 above scale enterprises and 14 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
Historical evolution
In 1903, Jianping County was established and Xinqiu (now Jianping town) was administrated. Xiaotang was located in the village of Xiaotang in Mongolia.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), the township was changed into a village, and Xiaotang town was changed into Xiaotang village.
In 1945, Xiaotang Township belonged to the second district (Wang Zifen).
In March 1958, the county merged 38 townships and 1 township level town. Xiaotang Township and xinglongdi Township were merged to form Xiaotang township (with jurisdiction over seven villages of Xiaotang, xinglongdi, muyingzi, Duzhen, mazhangzi, sijiazi and Qijia).
In September 1980, the Revolutionary Committee was withdrawn and the township was restored.
In October 1998, the township was set up.
In 2003, the original 13 villages were merged into 10 villages.

As of June 2020, Xiaotang town has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages. The town people's government is located in Xiaotang village.

Xiaotang town is located in the central and southern part of Jianping County, adjacent to Shenjing town in the East, Qingfengshan town in the south, Sanjia Mongolian Township in the west, Baishan Township and zhangjiayingzi town in the north, covering an area of 178.06 square kilometers.

Xiaotang town is located in the connecting zone of Inner Mongolia Plateau and southeast coastal area, with low mountains and hills as the main geomorphic features. There are 10 famous peaks and 2 peaks higher than 1000 meters. The highest peak in the territory is Louzi mountain in Daohugou village, with an altitude of 1079.7 meters.

Xiaotang town has a temperate continental monsoon climate, characterized by long winter and short autumn. Four seasons, wind, frost early, alpine, rich in light resources, affected by the territory's topography, uneven distribution of rainfall, climate differences, more disastrous weather. The annual average temperature is 7.6 ℃, and the annual average frost free period is 127 days.
hydrology
There are two rivers in Xiaotang Town, namely Xiaotang River and Qijia river. Xiaotang river originates from dongshanliang of Shuitou Tun, flows through Shuitou village, Xiaotang village, Datang Village, nansijiazi village, beisijiazi village, Sanjia village, Donghu Sutai village and daxindi village, enters Ningcheng county and flows into Laoha river. The river is about 9 km long, with a drainage area of 96 square kilometers, and the average River gradient is 4.8 ‰. Qijia river is a tributary of Haitang river. It originates from the north of Qijia village, passes through Qijia village and Heishanzui village, enters Baishan Township, and finally flows into Haitang River in Taipingzhuang township. Only qijiahe river has open water flow in qianchengzi of the above two rivers, and the rest of the rivers have no flow in dry season.

The mineral resources in Xiaotang town include perlite, bentonite, marble, limestone and fluorite. Metal mineral resources include iron and manganese.
