Jianping town
Jianping Town, located in Chengguan, Langxi County, Anhui Province, is the political, economic and cultural center of the county. It is close to Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, only 80 km away from Nanjing Lukou International Airport. Xianghua Road, Zhongmei road and 214 provincial road are connected with each other. Zhongqiao River and laolangchuan River pass through the city, so the water and land transportation is very convenient. In the first year of Duangong (988), Emperor Taizong of the Northern Song Dynasty set up Jianping County by dividing Tongxiang, Zhaode, Linhu, Yuantong and miaoquan in the northwest of Guangde County, which was subordinate to the Guangde army. In April 1949, Langxi was liberated and its name was still Jiyuan. In February 1950, the town system was abolished, directly under the city. In May 1952, Langxi town was established. In January 1956, the district level system was abolished and Langxi town was directly under the county people's government. In July 1959, Langxi town was abolished and merged into Zhongqiao people's commune. On June 1, 1961, the former Langxi town and the two brigades of Chengxi and Wenchang were set up as urban people's communes. In January 1962, it was renamed Jianping people's commune. In December 1963, Langxi town separated from Jianping people's commune, restored its organizational system and renamed Chengguan town. In January 1982, the people's Government of Chengguan town was established. On April 18, 5 villager groups in Chengdong village and 10 villager groups in Chengbei Village of Jianping Township were assigned to Chengguan Town, and the town was established to govern Dongjiao Village and Beijiao village. In March 1992, Chengguan town and Jianping Township merged to establish Jianping town.
Zhao Guangyi, Emperor Taizong of the Song Dynasty, changed yuan Duangong in 988 ad, and built the county in the heyday of the Yuan Dynasty.
