Pinggang town
Pinggang Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Xifeng County, Tieling City, Liaoning Province, is located in the northeast of Xifeng County, bordering Dongliao County, Jilin Province in the East and Southeast, Taoran Township in the South and southwest, Baiyu town in the West and northwest, and Tiande town in the north and northeast, with an administrative area of 89.9 square kilometers.
In the 36th year of the Republic of China (1947), it was divided into two districts (Pinggang); in 1970, Pinggang town was merged into Pinggang commune; in November 1978, the commune and town were separated; in 1984, it was merged into Pinggang town. By the end of 2018, 16643 people had registered residence in Ping Gang town. As of June 2020, Pinggang town has one community and nine administrative villages.
In 2011, the per capita net income of farmers in Pinggang town was 10000 yuan. In 2018, Pinggang town had 2 industrial enterprises and 12 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In 1947, it was divided into two districts (Pinggang).
In 1952, it was changed into a district.
In 1955, jianpinggang district.
In October 1958, Pinggang commune was established; in November of the same year, it was renamed Weixing commune.
In June 1961, satellite commune was divided into Pinggang commune, Tiande commune and Baiyu commune.
In 1964, Pinggang town was designated by Pinggang commune.
In 1970, Pinggang town was incorporated into Pinggang commune.
In November 1978, the commune and town were separated.
In 1984, it was merged into Pinggang town.
