In 1940, he set up his hometown. In 1958, he merged with his hometown to build Wanjia commune. In 1962, he divided his hometown into two communes and resumed his hometown in 1983.
With a total area of 300.14 square kilometers and a total population of 3705 people (2017), the township government is located in anzihechang, 45 kilometers away from the urban area. In 2006, Gou's hometown was renamed Jiguanshan Township.
In December 2019, Chengdu Municipal People's government decided to abolish Jiguanshan Township.
In July 2020, it won the honorary title of national health Township from 2017 to 2019.

Located in the northwest corner of the city, it borders Wenchuan County in the northwest, Dayi County in the southwest, Lushan County in the west, Sanlang town in the East and Wanjia town in the southeast. The township covers an area of 300.14 square kilometers, ranking first among the 25 townships in Chongzhou city. With a total population of 3705 (2017), it governs seven villages, including Pengjia, Xiezi, Damu, Zhugen, Yanfeng, Liuli and Zhaojia. The Township People's government is located in anzihechang Town, Jiguanshan Township, 45 kilometers away from the urban area. In the west of the township, there is Jiguanshan, a provincial forest park.

Resource characteristics
The township is an alpine mountain area, with overlapping peaks, cliffs, ravines, verdant trees and 94% forest coverage. It originates from Wenjing River in the north of Jiguan mountain and runs through the whole area. The territory is rich in wild animal resources, plant resources and mineral resources. There are more than 30 species of common mammals, more than 60 species of birds, more than 10 species of aquatic products, and many national protected animals such as national treasure giant panda breed here. Small scale fish and Shiba fish are the specialty fish of the family. The township is rich in wild medicinal materials, wild vegetables, exotic flowers and herbs, including "anzihe provincial nature reserve" and "Jiguanshan Provincial Forest Park". The territory is rich in underground mineral resources, including limestone, granite, sulfur, realgar, coal, graphite, gold, iron, lead, zinc and so on, with huge natural gas reserves.
Local products include tuber, mountain rape, green ear leek, yam, cilongbao, water green onion, wild leek, Lycoris, mountain parsley, mountain cowpea, zha'ergen, goose pouch, water celery, Jue Cai, etc.
Honor record
In July 2020, it won the honorary title of national health Township from 2017 to 2019.
