Ping'an town
Ping'an Town, belonging to Honggu District, Lanzhou City, Gansu Province, is located in the southeast of Honggu District, adjacent to Dachuan township of Xigu District in the East, Huangshui River in the south, Xihe town of Yongjing County across the river, Huazhuang town in the West and Kushui township of Yongdeng County in the north. The area is 126.85 square kilometers. In 2018, 17480 people registered residence.
In 1960, Yongdeng County, Dachuan district and Pingan district were set up. In February 1984, Ping'an commune was transformed into a township. In March 2000, the township was removed and the town was built. In June 2020, Ping'an town governs 2 communities and 11 administrative villages.
In 2018, Pingan town had 7 industrial enterprises and 16 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Pingfan county.
In 1928, it belonged to Yongdeng County.
In 1943, it belonged to huanghuiqu special township.
In March 1949, huanghuiqu special township was assigned to Gaolan county.
In 1958, Huanghui commune was established in Yongdeng County.
In 1960, Yongdeng County, Dachuan district and Pingan district were set up.
In February 1984, Ping'an commune was transformed into a township.
In March 2000, the township was removed and the town was built.

In June 2020, Ping'an town governs 2 communities and 11 administrative villages: ping'antai community, zhangjiasi community, Ping'an Village, ruolian village, shangtan village, Zhonghe village, zhangjiasi village, Jiatan village, Fuxing village, Renhe Village, Gangzi village, Hewan village and Xin'an village. The people's Government of Ping'an town is located in zhangjiasi village.
