Linjie Township
Linjie township (Jingdong Yi Autonomous County, Simao City, Yunnan Province) belonged to Baodian township of western district before 1939 and Baodian District in 1950. In 1961, Linjie district was set up from Baodian and Jingfu districts. It was changed into commune in 1968, district in 1984 and township in 1988. Located in the northwest of the county, it covers an area of 219 square kilometers and has a population of 16000. County and township roads run through the countryside, and all village offices have access to roads. There is a ferry on the Lancang River.
