Tuanlinpu town

Tuanlinpu town is located in the middle of Hubei Province, 18 kilometers away from the southern suburb of Jingmen City, close to Jingmen Duodao high tech Development Zone, bordering Macheng town of Duodao District in the East, Wuli Town of Shayang County in the south, guandang town of Dangyang city in the west, and high tech Development Zone of Jingmen Nancheng District in the north. The total land area of the town is 282.64 square kilometers, including 106456 mu of cultivated land.

Historical origin of town name

During the Three Kingdoms period, Shu general Guan Yu once stationed troops in huanglingpu, 5 miles north of tuanlinpu. Tuanlinpu was his only way to travel between Jingxiang and Hunan. Therefore, there was a place for the postal service, which was the office of the literati. Yantai (beacon tower) is set at the corner of Luxiyan. Due to the large number of pedestrians, some traders gathered here to carry out various trade activities. After a long time, they formed a market town. And because about 1.5 kilometers southwest of the place, there is a garden shaped dense pine forest, so the name tuanlinpu.

Before the Anti Japanese War, there was an old street about 500 meters long on the east side of the road. There were nearly 100 families and more than 300 people. The streets are paved with bluestones, with pawnshops, tea, meals and hotels. They are very busy, known as "Xiaosha city". The Japanese invaders occupied Jingmen, set up strongholds, built outposts and implemented the crazy "three lights" policy, which almost flattened a neat and lively street.
