Tangchi
Tangchi town is under the jurisdiction of Yiliang County. It is located in the west of Yiliang County, on the Bank of Gaoyuan Pearl Sea, 38 kilometers away from the main city of Kunming and 18 kilometers away from Yiliang County. It covers an area of 282.24 square kilometers, with a total of 2866 hectares of cultivated land. The terrain is surrounded by mountains on three sides and faces the sea in the south. The terrain is high in the north and low in the south. The highest altitude of LAOYESHAN in the northwest is 2780 meters. The annual average temperature is 16.2 ℃, the average annual rainfall is 963.1 mm, the forest area is about 13552 hectares, the climate is pleasant, and the four seasons are like spring.
The territory has the Plateau Pearl Yangzonghai, the forest park xiaobailong, the yangzonghaipan golf course, the historical sites Wanfu temple, Ruiguang temple, Xihua temple, Huilong Temple and so on
Historical evolution
December 1953 is the Fifth District of Yiliang County. In April 1956, it was Tangchi township. In October 1958, Tangchi and Hongguang communes were established. Tangchi district was set up in April 1961, with jurisdiction over Tangchi, Fengming, Jijie and Hongguang communes. In 1970, Tangchi commune was reestablished and 20 small communes were renamed 20 production brigades. In February 1973, it was divided into two communes: Tangchi (15 production brigade) and meadow. In August 1983, Tangchi district and meadow district were set up, and the production brigade under its jurisdiction was changed to township government. In December 1987, the district was withdrawn and changed to Tangchi town and Caodian township. In 1997, Tangchi Town, with an area of 182 square kilometers and a population of 33000, governed 15 administrative villages including Sanying, qiansuo, Fengming, Muxi, aser, AnaI, Jijie, Zaige, QuZhe, Wuyi, Xiaojie, Kebao, hedeng, Lihua and Tangchi; Caodian Township, with an area of 100.2 square kilometers and a population of 16000, governed 7 administrative villages including Huangni, Housuo, Caodian, Daping, tuguan, Dima and Longchi.? The meadow was set up as a town. In 2006, meadow town was abolished and merged into Tangchi town.

Economics
The town has 22 villager committees and 103 villager groups, with a total population of 53298. The natural growth rate of the population is within 6 ‰. The agricultural population is 50583, mainly inhabiting Han, Yi, Hui, samei and other ethnic groups. The minority population is 2508, accounting for 4.7% of the total population. Tangchi mainly produces rice, Baogu, flue-cured tobacco, broad beans, wheat and peas, with a total grain output of 23.658 million kg. The planting industry is dominated by flowers, vegetables, peaches and pears, red bayberry and grapes, and the breeding industry is dominated by pigs, sheep and cows. Tangchi has a long history, rich tourism resources and a solid foundation for tourism development. The territory has the Plateau Pearl Yangzonghai, the forest park xiaobailong, the yangzonghaipan golf course, the scenic spots Wanfu temple, Ruiguang temple, Xihua temple, Huilong Temple and so on. Geothermal water resources are very rich, flowing into the river water boiling soup, spring water temperature as high as 70 ℃, rich in minerals and trace elements, with high beauty, physical therapy effect, "soup pool" is also named. It is famous for its unique local products such as stewed and rotten soup, old sauce, tofu and artificial salt.
In 2005, the total income of rural economy in the town was 784 million yuan, including 537 million yuan of business income of township enterprises, 3167 yuan of per capita net income of farmers, and 13.74 million yuan of tax revenue at town level.
Tangchi is rich in coal resources, with total reserves of 198 million tons, annual mining capacity of about 2 million tons, a total of 24 pairs of wells (pits). Tangchi has a large number of backbone enterprises such as tourism, coal, paper, building materials, etc., and the tertiary industry has developed to 892 households. Tangchi has convenient transportation and developed communication. The new and old Kunshi highway, Yangxian highway, tangcao highway, Nankun railway and Kunhe railway run through the territory, with roads extending in all directions. The program-controlled telephone was opened in 1993, with 6000 installed users, and a mobile telephone network and "PHS" telephone network. At present, there are 6670 mobile phones and 1475 PHS. Tangchi has a well-developed education, with an investment of more than 10 million yuan to build a junior middle school - Minghu middle school, 23 primary schools and 3 private kindergartens. In 2005, there were 1279 middle school students, with an enrollment rate of 92.93%, and 2944 primary school students, with an enrollment rate of 100%. The whole town has formed a "three education" pattern of general education, adult education and early childhood education. With the healthy development of medical and health services, there are 33 clinics, more than 130 medical staff and more than 120 beds. People's health level has been continuously improved. At 2:19 a.m. on December 26, 2008, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.3 occurred, with the epicenter located in Tangchi Town, Yiliang County.
