Houan Town, subordinate to Fushun County, Fushun City, Liaoning Province, is located in the east of Fushun County, adjacent to tangtu Manchu Township in the East, maquanquan Township in the south, Jiubing Township in the West and Shangma Township in the north. It covers an area of 368.3 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, 16724 households registered residence in Hou an.
In October 1946, it belonged to Fushun County. In October 1958, the red flag commune was established. In October 1983, Wulong township was built. In April 1985, Wulong township was changed into Houan town. Houan town is located in Longgang Mountain Branch of Changbai Mountain. The terrain is high in the South and low in the north. It extends from southeast to northwest to form two major rivers. Shipengzi mountain, the highest peak, is 1131 meters above sea level; three stone peaks are 1082 meters above sea level.
