Xinmin Street, belonging to Taihe District, Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province, is located in the southwest of Taihe District. It is adjacent to Taihe street in the East, Guoshu farm in Jinzhou City in the southeast, Songshan street in the south, nuerhe street in the west, Xiaoling River in the north and Xiaoling River in the northeast, with a total area of 58.62 square kilometers.
Before 1945, it belonged to nuerhe, xiaolingzi, Xiguan district and Songshan District of Jinzhou City; in 1983, it changed to Xinmin Township, which belonged to Taihe District; in 2013, it abolished Xinmin Township and established Xinmin Street. At the end of 2011, the total population of Xinmin Street was 43237. As of June 2020, Xinmin sub district has jurisdiction over 2 communities and 17 administrative villages, and the sub district office is located at 229 Jiefang West Road.

History of construction
Before 1945, it belonged to nuerhe, xiaolingzi, Xiguan district and Songshan District of Jinzhou City.
In 1949, the village government was established, belonging to the Sixth District of Jinzhou City, and later Xinmin district.
In 1956, Xinmin Township was built, belonging to Jinzhou City.
In 1957, Xijiao commune was established.
In 1983, Xinmin Township was changed to Taihe District.
In January 2002, the auspicious Village under the jurisdiction of Xinmin Township was assigned to Lingnan street.
In 2013, Xinmin Township was abolished and Xinmin Street was established.

The origin of place names
