Longtan town
Longtan town is about 58 kilometers south of Butuo County in Sichuan Province. Its geographical location is about 102 ° 46 ′ - 102 ° 54 ′ E and 27 ° 19 ′ - 26 ° 24 ′ n. It faces Yunnan Province across the river in the East, Puge County in the west, Hejing Township and baoguping Township in the north-south direction. Butuo is a newly built County after liberation. Before liberation, Butuo was subordinate to Zhaojue, Puge, Xichang and other counties (cities). In slave society and feudal society, Butuo was also a chieftain's territory because of inconvenient transportation, so the rulers of successive dynasties included it in the territory.
On January 12, 2021, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Liangshan Prefecture to adjust the administrative divisions of Puge county and other seven counties and towns (cfzm [2021] No. 1): Hejing Township and baoguping Township were abolished, and the administrative areas of the original Hejing Township, baoguping Township and Fanshen village of Luojiaping Township were put under the jurisdiction of Longtan Town, and Longtan Town People's government was stationed at No. 45, group 10, Hongqi village.

Traffic conditions
County Road "bujiao" road, 57 kilometers long, is the main external traffic road of the town. The road runs along the communication River, obliquely across the northeast of the town and connects with baoguping Township and Luojiaping township. 1. Topographical conditions
In Butuo, there are mainly middle mountain and original mountain landforms. In the southeast, the river is deep and the terrain is complex. The altitude ranges from 535 meters to 3891 meters, forming the deep cutting landform of middle mountain. Longtan town is located on the Bank of the communication River, with an altitude of less than 1000 meters. The river in this area is strongly cut, the terrain is broken, the mountains are steep, and the soil erosion is serious. However, due to the low altitude, good light and heat conditions, and rich products, it is one of the main production areas of grain and cash crops in the county.
2. Climatic conditions
Longtan town belongs to the original communication river area, and its climate type is subtropical and semi-arid climate. According to the agricultural climate division, Hongqi village, Jinjiang village and fengjiaping village belong to the low mountain valley area; Xingfu village and Shengli village belong to the middle and low mountain area; the monthly average maximum temperature is 23.7 ℃, the monthly average minimum temperature is 6.1 ℃, and the annual average temperature is 15.8 ℃.
