Wangjia town is located in the southeast of Nanbu County, 35 kilometers away from the county. It is located at the intersection of Jialing River and Xihe River. It is the central town at the junction of Pengan and Yilong. It is adjacent to Futang town in the East and tiewang town in the south. It has a subtropical monsoon climate with four distinct seasons. The landform is dominated by hills and shale hills. The soil is mainly loam and sandy soil. Provincial Highway 204 line, shexin road through the town, convenient transportation, mountain and river, outstanding people. Covering an area of 223.65 square kilometers, the town has jurisdiction over 16 administrative villages, 3 neighborhood committees and 115 villager groups, with a total population of 12457 (2017). Dafu township was incorporated into Wangjia town in October 2019.

History of construction
Wangjia town is located in the southeast of Nanbu County, 106 ° 13 ′ longitude, 31 ° 8 ′ north latitude, west of the confluence of Jialing River and Xihe River, on Nanqu highway, 39 km away from the county. It is a triangle area at the junction of Pengan, Yilong and Nanbu counties. In 1955, the farm was incorporated into the township. In June 1984, the town was built. It covers an area of 23.65 square kilometers and has a total population of 35410 at the end of 2014.
Wangjia district Party committee, posts and telecommunications, business office, Wangjia middle school, industrial and commercial office, State Taxation Bureau, Local Taxation Office, land and resources office, family planning office, credit cooperatives and other county, district and town level units have successively settled in the town.
Wangjia has a unique geographical location. Tiefutang hydropower station, the largest hydropower station in the county, is built in the northwest of the town. Wangjia II hydropower station is located at the end of Xihe River in the town. A large stone arch highway bridge (connecting provincial highway 204) is built 200 meters downstream, and a steel frame highway bridge (connecting shexin highway) will be built 1000 meters upstream.
In June 1984, the commune was changed into a town. In September 1998, Nanchong Municipal People's Government approved it as a pilot town for the construction of municipal small towns. In May 2000, the provincial people's Government approved it as a pilot town for the construction of provincial small towns. The confluence of Xihe River and Jialing River in Jialing village is 298 meters above sea level, which is the lowest point in the county. It has convenient transportation and water and land. Wangjia town is mainly engaged in grain and oil production and pig production.
