Guozijian
Guozijian, located at No.15, Guozijian street, Andingmen Street (Chengxian street in Ming and Qing Dynasties), is adjacent to Confucius Temple. It was first built in the 24th year of Yuan Dynasty (1287). During the Ming Dynasty, there were Guozijian in Nanjing and Beijing, which were also called "Beijian" or "Beiyong".
Guozijian is the highest academic institution (Imperial College) and the administrative institution for managing education established by the yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties in China. It is the only well preserved site of the highest academic institution in ancient China. The whole building faces south and is a three entrance courtyard, covering an area of more than 27000 square meters. On the central axis are Jixian gate, Taixue gate, Liuli archway, Biyong hall, Yilun hall and Jingyi Pavilion.

bell tower
The bell tower is located in di'anmenwai street, Andingmen street. The original site is the central Pavilion of Wanning temple in Dadu of Yuan Dynasty. It was built in 1420 and destroyed by fire. It was rebuilt in 1745 and completed in 1745. The south of the bell tower is a triple gate connected with the wall. Inside the middle gate is a stele of rebuilding the bell tower in the 12th year of Qianlong (1745) of the Qing Dynasty.
